  1. The No. 1 pick this year only has bust potential in that every pick has bust potential, especially when being drafted by the LA Clippers. It's just fun to see what kind of quality players the Hawks can draft and put in their system and develop him into a sucky player. Chis Paul would have probably been a bust as a Hawk. It's not the player it's the system and our system stinks. Hawk88
  2. In case you haven't noticed, the Hawks don't know squat about picking point guards. They need to stay away and get a proven point guard. Hawk88 As a matter of fact, it looks like the Hawks system actually contributes to the point guards failing so even if we draft a good one, stick him with the Hawks and he will suck. Hawk88
  3. That thought has crossed my mind as well. Anytime I see the work Mechanical, I crap my pants. Hawk88
  4. I think Hansborough aligator arms will keep him from being very good at the next level. The guys arms look like they end at the elbow. On the Hawks he will stink, on another team that can coach him and can use him to highlight his strenghts he will probably be okay.. Hawk88
  5. Mac is onto something. Philly can afford to move Young because they have excess at SF. Something to think about when drafting. Don't go need. Get talent and then you can deal from your excess. Hawk88
  6. If that is the case and you are trading to get Bosh for only 1 year, how about Marvin and 19 for Bosh straight up(maybe Speedy for salary requirements). Then you get Bosh for a year and a playoff run. He can see if he likes Atlanta and maybe you can resign him. Fat chance with Woody as coach but I would do it. Hawk88
  7. I would definetly do your deal for the Hawks. I would even give up J. Smith and Marvin for Bosh. Hawk88
  8. I don't know, Young and Dalembert is a pretty good package. Every trade doesn't make you whole in one exchange. The Hawks could then send Marvin for a shooting guard. Probably could sign another PG with the money we are saving from Joe's upcoming contract. I wouldn't cry because I don't think this squad can get past the second round of the playoffs. I would prefer seding Marvin or Josh of course. Hawk88
  9. Dang, that looks so bad. Braves are cheaper than me. Hawk88
  10. Forget nees when you are picking at 19, you just need to get somebody who is going to be an NBA player, regardless of position. I don't know anything about Marcus Thornton but I am sure that BJ Muellens is a stiff and what are the odds we take the 5th or 6th best pg and turn him into a player. Just take somebody that can contribute or trade the pick. We don't need to develop anybody since we can't. Hawk88
  11. With Woody as the head coach we need a team that doesn't need coaching. Josh and Woody will never get along. Josh needs to go to a veteran team who he cannot question or pout around. I really do think Josh is with the wrong organization. He should be traded for a veteran. Hawk88
  12. About the only thing Flynn has in common with Chris Paul is maybe he would kick you in the nuts if you give him a chance. Can he shoot like Chris Paul? I don't think so and that is what makes Paul tough. Hawk88
  13. My thoughts exactly. I actually thought that if it Orlanda could have gotten ahead by at least 4 with only only a couple of seconds to go, Howard should have intentionally take the 7th technically so that he could sit out the game 5 in Cleveland and be back for the game in Orlando. It is a big risk if he gets another technical to be out for the game in Orlando. Hawk88
  14. I don't agree. The games I have been watching I have felt were called very fairly. Lebron even had a traveling called on him in the last minute of a game. Who would have ever believed that. I don't think the Lakers have been getting some calls that could have gone there way as well. And I always cheer for the underdogs. Hawk88
  15. No freaking way would I do that deal. Bigs are hard to get. There is about to be a influx of new point guards. Hinrich has a pretty rich contract to boot. Hawk88
  16. Bench Horford in favor of Josh Smith. Are you insane? Horford the picture of what you need, consistency. J. Smith is the picture of what you need to get rid of, inconsistency. Hawk88
  17. Billy Knight did a not more good than bad. If BK could just evaluate point guards he would still be our GM. Hawk88
  18. You can't put fill in players at the PG postion. Pg makes everyone better or meakes everyone worse. That lineup looks lottery bound! Hawk88
  19. I didn't realize Felton couldn't control himself regarding taking the outside shots. Put me on the forget about Felton team. Hawk88
  20. Marvin is not worht 7+ million a year. Hawk88
  21. You are comparing Marvin to Yao Ming and Tracy Mcgrady? Marvin is overrated and it showed. He is probably about to sign a contract that he isn't worth and I sure hope it's not with the Hawks. The guy lacks a killer instanct. He is so soft is isn't even funny. I wouldn't even want Marvin on the team for anything more than 4 million per year and I don't think he is worthy of being a started on a playoff team. He is a good bench player. You have to manage your salary cap and roster and Marving isn't going to help in either case. Give me some guys with passion, not don't worry be happy Marvin. Hawk88
  22. Yes, Mo Evans is the guy who took Marvin's place and the Hawks improved over that 20 game span. He may not be the end all solution but Marvin is only a mediocre player at best. Get rid of him and we can upgrade the position. We already missed out on Thadeous Young because we had Marvin in that spot. Marvin is costing us and we need to upgrade at that position anyway. Hawk88
  23. I actually watch the Hawks games and don't see how you think Marving plays D. He is slow slow slow and uncoordinated. I see 0 defense. Seriously I keep hearing people talk about Marvins' D but I have never ever seen it.
  24. Exactly, there is an abundance of SF's but not Center's. This solves the center problem and upgrades the PG posiion as far as a balance between offense and defense. There is minimal if any drop off between Marving Williams and Maurice Evans considering Mo's defense and Marvin's lack of it. Most teams can luck into a good small forward ala Danny Granger. Hawks have shown they can't luck into a PG or a C. 80% of the productiove players in the NBA are between 6-6 and 6-8. The spot is the most easily filled. We might need to take a small step back to move forward. I don't see these guys ever competing with the Cavaliers. Hawk88
  25. Marvin Williams for Raymond Felton is a no brainer move for the Hawks. Felton is a good PG, has some experience now and plays a little D, pentrates, would be a good fit. Filling in the small forward position is one of the easier positions to find. I would think Felton would be less money than Bibby, but maybe not if Bibby get a contract amount that he is worth in the 7-8 million range. Then I would try and ship J. Smith and our No. 1, for the No. 3 pick, and draft Thabeet. Again we get a lot better on D. So we would have Felton Johnson M. Evans Horford Thabeet This team has a lot of D, a little light on offense but we could upgrade with another bigtime small forward fairly easily. Is Zaza an unrestricted free agent? Hawk88
