  1. No way!Don't worry guys, this ain't happening... NOBODY is that CRAZY!
  2. I wouldn't mind getting Mayo, as he would surely improve our team... but, as Capstone21 already said, Mayo is a combo guard who would probably fit the best within 3-guard rotation a-la 80's Pistons (Zeke, Dumars, Microwave)!
  3. Anything is possible... It would give us a legitimate center and allow Al to play PF.Most of you are saying that Bynum for Smoove straight-up wouldn't work... but look at it talent wise, Smoove is more talented and less injury prone. On the other hand Bynum's advantage is his size, the position that he plays, and the lack of true centers in the league, driving his price up...One thing is sure, Lakers will make some moves this off-season, you can bet your bottom dollar! They won't settle for re-building or tweaks, they're simply not content with that... It's L.A.!I think they will try to move Gasol first (probably for 1st rd. draft pick) and then assault free agents.

I understand your point of view and I respect it, I mean it certainly makes sense if Hawks decide to part ways with Smoove...First, I think that Smoove and Al make unique combo at 4 & 5... they create mismatch for just about anyone and I think they're best in tandem.Second, sure I agree that Al has certain advantages over opposing centers... But Al would also have his way against opposing PF's just as well.Third (final), all I tried to say is that if Hawks decide to trade Smoove they should try to get an All-Star,equal talent in return... preferably center.P.S. At the end of the day I'd love to keep Smoove, keep Al, JT, JJ and try to surround them with fitting pieces because I believe that we're not far from truly contending for the ring... Our core is at their prime and it would be shame to break them up, unless it clearly makes us better... I say make some smart minor moves and reload!

It's an All-Star for two average players, plus none of them plays center... I wouldn't do it.Sure, we would get some depth, but overall the trade wouldn't make us better IMO. BTW I like Chandler and his versatility, good D and the fact that he can play 2,3 and occasionally 4.P.S. If we cannot or don't want to re-sign Josh, then we should try to get a center in return and move Al to PF.
  6. Sure, we cannot allow any let-down because we have a clear opportunity to go up 2 - 0 and truly take control of the rest of this series...Let's face it, Rondo is their energizer bunny and without him they're not the same team.
  7. Us in six for some poetic justice! Show them the exit doors in their own house!
  8. I like our chances and I also think that our bench veterans will prove their worth in this series!
  9. Minimum investment - maximum profit MINI-MAX!
  10. When you put all the important things into consideration (age, contract, D, the fact that we have enough capable scorers...)... Yes, it was the right move!We all loved JC and what he brought to the team (instant scoring, confidence...).But the fact was that he wasn't going to get any younger, his D was hurting us, ISO's were hurting us as well and he was looking for long-term deal... On the other hand, we have enough capable scorers to fill the void, we play more team oriented basketball, plus better D... BTW, we wisely signed some valuable veterans to steady the ship and solidify our bench...
  11. Emotions are part of the game and I have nothing against players ho show it once in a while... as long as there's no bad intentions behind. As for KG, NineOhTheRino is right... KG has always been one-way traffic... He can do all he wants, but things change when he is on the receiving end!
  12. That's right, his J is getting better and he's getting more confident... but he needs to make better decisions! Shots won't run away, he'll have plenty of opportunities... If he properly used a hand-brake, we would have been talking about very mature, complete, team-oriented performance (in a pedestrian fashion!)...
  13. It's about his decision making... He can be dangerous and effective without taking as many shots and having lots of plays called for him. My point was that he could have easily achieved triple-double if he played with focus, without forcing anything on offense... Instead, he just wondered off and lost his touch with the game, teammates, coach... He just had to take one step back, slow down, that's it.
  14. Last night's game vs Cavs was such a great example of Josh Smith's dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality on the basketball court... We all know of his talents and his antics, but last night Josh flirted with the triple-double and another excellent performance... that was until he completely lost the touch with the game, his focus was out the window and he finished with 3-15, 7 pts, 8 rebs, 9 assts. Had he kept his focus and composure it might have been something like 5-10, 12 pts, 11 rebs, 10 assts. Just couldn't help myself but to state the obvious...
  15. In my case... I simply L O V E Hawks, simple as that... I'm 40 now and nothing has changed for the past 27 years! Hell, it's my longest relationship! P.S. Probably the only one that I've been faithful to...
  16. IMO, this season (for obvious unfortunate reasons) isn't true barometer of our team... so we need to focus on playing out this season the best way we can and then let ASG and management think with clear heads what's the best strategy for the future...
  17. I mean... Williams and Pekovic... Williams is gonna be an All-Star some day, and Pekovic is most dominant Euro center who plays well in the post (much better than Kaman). Now that he's got a true chance, he's showing what he's made of...
  18. By the mentioned names, this deal would definitely favor Magic... They're obviously trying everything to keep Dwight! Nelson Monta Wright Biedrins Dwight That's a nice line-up!
  19. This is the way I see it... First, we would get a true 7-footer so we could move Al to his natural PF position, while also adding front-court depth. Does it make us better... well, I don't know... But there's one thing that I'm certain of... By dealing Smoove to NJ, we would make them championship contenders IMO! Deron- Smoove-Dwight, plus Brooks and possibility of signing other veteran pieces...
  20. Thank you! It seems that we often undervaluate our players. For instance, even though Marvin didn't live up to the expectations of 2nd overall draft pick, he's still a starter who provides good D, size for SF position and decent offensive talent...
  21. I don't know who is manufacturing these trade ideas that simply make no sense... Smoove and Marvin for Jamison and Sessions! C'mon, how about Kobe and Gasol for Blatche and McGhee!?
  22. Nique in Clippers uni... such a humiliation, especially at that given time...
  23. First, to start with article...Aiming lower for KG would end up with shooting at our feet, if we would have to give up one of our core guys... no way! I don't think that there are many other offers as good as our can be... we can throw a combo of Al, Marv, Kirk and draft picks on the table. Then work hard to get Dwight on board for the future...
  24. As far as the bench and depth are concerned, I'm certain that this year's formula would work again... veterans with something left in the tank and something to prove... that's where Green, Pargo, T-Mac and Vlad fit in. P.S. Shooting, size and D.
  25. I don't see Ainge doin' another magic trick to form a new power-house just from dust... They will have to go through some kind of re-building process... According to the sources around the NBA Rondo is not too fond of that idea, while Celtics view him as a potential distraction and destabilizing factor for the mentioned process. ... like I've said, it's worth a shot.
