Lou's contract is up prior to 2015-2016 actually. He's only got this season and next. So that's a lot to give up for a 1 year rental and Lou's not a bad contract at 5.2m this yr and 5.4m next...

Good post Gray Mule! It does seem like a small minority here that are neutral on this. Jeff Teague signing was very polarizing. It certainly exposed the pro and anti tankers. I felt that both sides made good points, but does keeping Jeff on board at 8m per year for 4 years really tie us up that much? I think we're still in good shape for the future with flexibility. It was a no brainer to match that contract without a clear upgrade at a cheaper deal to replace Jeff. I don't think Jennings or Ellis were clear upgrades, and Mo would have been another Devin Harris situation with an injury prone vet only playing max 50 games.

I wonder what it will be like listening to Hawks audio (which I do everytime an opposing team's video feed is on League Pass) w/o listening to Steve Holman talk about Smoove's horrible shot selection, ill advised passes, or dribbing the ball upcourt himself instead of passing to Teague, etc?

I would like Rondo in ATL too, but don't think that we have the assets to make it happen. I have a feeling there are multiple suitors for a Rondo trade deal, probably 5 or 6 like Smoove has for FAcy

I don't think the Rockets will do well with Asik and Howard together. That isn't going to work..they need to move Asik for a stretch 4 for it to work. This is what Ferry will likely tell Howard when they meet...

There are other PG options out there. Including our own Jeff Teague, who may yet blossom under the tutelage of Bud's staff.

I'm excited about seeing the Summer League Team and what players will comprise the roster!!! However I must admit, that at first glance I thought this thread title was "Summer League Singles" lol where is my mind at?

Watching the highlights, he plays a lot like Rondo. Changing speeds, changing strides, laying the ball up high off the glass and in over the bigger defenders, etc. I'm liking the pick! He seems to be very intelligent and coachable.
