Anytime we're getting killed on the boards, Ivan or Scott should be going in. I wouldn't even mind seeing a big lineup with 3 PFs to get the tide to turn. I've noticed that we get killed on the boards almost every time we lose and thats because guys like Tolliver and Korver are playing heavy minutes at the 3 and getting outrebounded.

It is frustrating to see Josh try to do too much in game after game. This is magnified when we lose and is conveniently forgotten when we win. Yes Josh makes a lot of great plays defensively, but he gets no respect from the refs (some of that due to his immature reaction to referee calls), can't make free throws more than half the time (last night missed 6 in a 1 point loss), and all his great passes are offset by ill advised passes or dribbling on the perimeter that results in turnovers. If only he played within himself we find ourselves asking again even after 9 years? come on! enough already. I think the last and only hope is for another coach to instill discipline in Josh if he is re-signed otherwise it is certain that the franchise wasted money on whatever he gets over 12 million a year. He is greater than Horford on defense, that is for sure, but Horford is the better all around player because he does not try to do too much, is a mature leader.

Hopefully Deshawn is only needed for limited minutes against the Suns, I don't expect him to play against Denver. I will be disappointed with less than 5-1 now that Hawks took first 3 on the trip. Going to the Denver game monday night!

LD has done a good job but not great so far this year. I don't think its fair to LD to blame him for all of Smoove's bad decision making / lack of discipline at times but at least part of the blame must fall on him. I agree that if we end up re-signing Smoove to another contract LD needs to go and a more disciplinarian coach brought in, and if Smoove were to go LD should be ok here vs other options. I want to stay the hell away from Mike Brown as coach. That would be Woody Part Deaux.

I think some of you are reading too much into it. What do you expect Korver to say? he will be a free agent. I expect Ferry to make the right decision in regards to him. He won't get paid as much as you think because with the new CBA role players will not get paid big contracts by anyone, imo.

If the Hawks go +.500 on this 6 game trip (1-0 so far), I think they have a shot to move up from 6. but i wouldn't mind if the Hawks stayed there. if they move up, move up to 3rd!

Josh is a very polarizing player, in many ways. I was screaming and hating on him when he turned the ball over or forced up bad shots and then loving him when he made several big defensive stops. You're right that the 3 wasn't as important as the defensive stops.

Yes, I would be all for it IF he were to lead us to the Conference Finals. If not leading us that far, it would take a series of good games, not just one. Remember when the Hawks gave Chris Crawford a big contract for one outstanding game in the playoffs vs the Knicks in a series which our team LOST? still smh

I think that was self-serving on the part of Cuban, who would like to see OJ Mayo / Kobe / Dirk make a run toward the post season. I agree with you that Pau is the player they should amnesty, if they are going to roll with D'antoni as coach. Pau clearly doesn't fit his system.

paying the luxury tax too, they are spending a lot of money in Boston. for a team thats a first round knock out at best.

If Dwight is to come - Patrick Ewing as the coach? he helped develop him in Orlando..I personally hope that he doesn't come to ATL. Otherwise - Mike Budenholzer (San Antonio Assistant under Pop for many years) or Phil Johnson (Utah assistant under Sloan for many years).

I'm with the opinion that Devin is our key for us to make the playoffs as at least the 6th seed, and if he is healthy we will go to the second round. If Ferry were able to land a solid backup PG then we might not lean so much on Devin. With improved defense on the wing the second half record should be as good as first half, making up for the loss of scoring when Lou got hurt.

Where did the investigation go? I think it sounded a lot worse than it really was. This guy was the neighbor of one of my sons friends for several years (since I have lived in the Denver area the past few years) and he certainly did not come off as a pedophile.

I like Devin Harris a lot, think he is a good fit for this team. It would be a nightmare for opposing defenses to see Teague / Harris, Teague / Williams or Harris / Williams backcourt!

Keith Benson is looking really good in SL, granted it is SL but still. He has appeared to have improved a lot since last SL.

I don't think Mike Scott makes the team, his spot will be taken by Ivan the Terrible if he takes the Hawks offer.

I am in the camp that likes Smith more at PF, because his strong suit is weak side shot blocking, he can get burned by slashing SFs defensively. Also on offense he will be more prone to jack up ill advised jumpers at SF than he would be at PF.
