  1. I'm so tired of these games against stars and the refsSent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
  2. man I just can't.....lol........the ball hitting him the head on time delay is just too much goodness lol
  3. Kobe: B1tch I'm F@bulous! Bynum: D@mn maybe I shouldn't of went commando......
  4. If it is who I think it is, I don't understand why the need for secrecy. I would anticipate that Danny Ferry has interest in Lebron, Carmelo, Love, Duncan and any other top tier guy that may come available. There is really no scoop there and no need to keep the name a secret. Other teams would not be affected by Atlanta's interest. Of course Ferry can't say, because that would be tampering. But, unless you name your source saying the name of the player is of no consequence.
  5. so now we are expanding the lottery to pick 14. Well guess what? We can make the playoffs and get pick 16. The closest examples to what you are suggesting in my opinion are the Thunder, Traiblazers, Warriors, Raptors, Pelicans, Bobcats, and Cavaliers. No titles right? The closest examples to what we are currently doing are the Rockets, Pacers, Grizzlies, and Nuggets. No titles. But, none of the teams in our category are just horrible.
  6. That whole write up made me giggle. How did we survive this idiot?
  7. So your basic point is......all things considered you want us to get in the lottery and start over....even though that doesn't guarantee we'll even be competitive as we are now? And if that does not work, we rinse and repeat until it does.....all the while hoping someone will take our acquired pieces we don't want(just because they are lottery picks) and trade us their Superstars even if it does work. Meanwhile this non-supportive city is going to magically be ok with that and the owners are supposed to just accept that "unless your first your last" and pump money into an abyss. Great plan.
  8. No it doesn't that team we had in the Boston series was your argument. 3 lottery picks and we got in the playoffs with a losing record. No thanks.
  9. Ok Wretch I'm am starting to understand your pitch, but tell me this..........what about this list screams that it is the best route to go?.....I mean if you get lucky and get in the top 3, you still are batting what? 40% at best? 2012 1. 10. Again you guys are nuts. When ever have the Hawks had a chance at a top 10 player and not pulled the trigger? It hasn't happened. And I'm pretty certain if one of these guys was available to use we would include Harry the Hawk and Nique again if it consummated the deal. Yall act like Ferry is not willing to do what it takes the win. If he had that opportunity he would take it. Why wouldn't he?
  11. Wretch you like to type...answer my questions in my post. You arguing for a fantasy scenario.Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
  12. Good win on the roadSent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
  13. This is so silly to me. I have a question that will end all of this for me at least.......you Ferry critics if, Ferry was offered any of these scenarios do you really think he or the ASG would say no? 1. A chance at any of the current top 10 players? 2. Not a chance at the lottery, but after the lottery a top 5 pick? 3. A trade for any player that would be a step up from our current group w/ a reasonable contract? I don't believe he would say no to any of these scenarios, so you know what do you guys want from him? He is not giving away players for nothing. He can't make deals with himself. We aren't even sure what teams are going to miss the playoffs at this point except for a horrid few and they aren't trading those picks because they are tanking! This is insanity to me lol
  14. Is it possible Teague thought after Horf went down this would be his team? But, it is clearly Millsaps' team and even Korver's team before Jeff. Is he pouting?
  15. The Pioli hire at least encourages me that two eyes are better than one. I think Dimitroff has had divided attention since Les Snead left. We had a good group of scouts and management types leave to head up other franchises. I think this move gets us back on track as far as player acquisitions.
  16. You know what is likely going to happen with Horf in 2 years? If we want him to stay he will get paid a great salary and stay with the Hawks. The history of this situation tells us this.
  17. You could make an argument for the Celtics. Without each other none of those guys sniffed the finals. I would counter with out of all the "Super Star" scenarios only Duncan, Kobe, Dirk, and DWADE have done it with their original team. And outside of Duncan and Dirk it has not been done without another Super Star being on the roster.
  18. Don't be an @ss. Just because I don't 100% share in the superstar fetish doesn't mean I'm against it. I clearly stated in the last post and earlier ones I'm all for getting a star. But, tanking I just don't agree with. I see Cleveland and the Pelicans. I see the Clippers and Wolves. The drafting of the next great blah doesn't promise anything more than what we have now. How wretched it must be to only see things through the keyhole you choose to peep and not think there are other valid viewpoints.
  19. Star, blah, blah, blah, star, blah, blah....... It gets old. For every star success story you can point to a star failure. A star is not the end all be all. We need one, but how we go about it is up to debate. The draft is viable, so is free agency. Player development and trade are also a good direction. Now what if, I know, but just what if, Danny Ferry is like a good investor. He is not going all in on any of these. He will align himself to make a move into drafting a target if he sees the opportunity. He is also setting himself up to make the trade or FA splash if the opportunity presents itself. But, in reality he is hedging his bets against the only true thing he can control. Developing the talent on this team and supporting that development with a rock solid culture of winning. Now if that is what he is doing and that is wrong then I don't care about right. Because the teams that I see with staying power have the first three intermittently. But, that last one.......the culture, that is a lasting formula.
  20. Deadspin just fired the kill shot, right into his head....I hope Josh reads this. http://regressing.deadspin.com/is-josh-smith-the-worst-three-point-shooter-of-all-time-1506600877?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_facebook&utm_source=deadspin_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow
  21. Long On Money, Short On Success None of the teams in the top five of Forbes' most-valuable NBA franchises list -- including Carmelo Anthony's No. 1 Knicks -- is over .500 this season. Team Record Rank 1. Knicks 15-26 T-24th 2. Lakers 16-26 22nd 3. Bulls 20-20 T-12th 4. Celtics 14-29 T-26th 5. Nets 18-22 18th -- ESPN Stats & Information Well seems like they are getting good value........
  22. I love the sleeved jerseys. I remember back in the day most players wore a t-shirt under their jersey larry johnson style.
  23. It was crazy. He gave us a lot of props and said we are a delight lol. Crazy times we are living in.
  24. I think our guy is shaping up. Melo. I know I know, selfish, ball hog, doesn't win in the playoffs. But, have you listened to him lately? Woody has broken this guy. I think it's like the addict who is allowed to overdose. Woody has given him the keys to do whatever he wants and now he is craving structure. He would welcome this Spurs type system. Get him with this unselfish group and I think he would blossom. The question is how to make it happen. If we could take Chandler off their hands or God forbid Amare it would be easy. But, would a Milsap/Horf/Antić/Melo/Teague team win? Could we keep Millsap if we got Melo?
