  1. Good call. Forgot about Pete. Shareef, Moses, and Willis have to defend and get to the paint.
  2. in their primes....who would have top dog? I know everybody will say Nique, but this is one on one. I got my my money Jamal Crawford. Who you got? One of my favorite movies.
  3. Well, first off, I'm talking prime JJ and Marv. Also, those were money moves further more. If JJ was on a good deal he might have stayed. If Marv was on a good deal for his production they he might have stayed. Both guys were also going down physically. It has less to do with talent and more to do with pragmatism.
  4. The simple truth is their aren't a lot of Hawks fans in Atlanta. People love the football and baseball. Hoops? Not so much. When we play big market teams their fans come out. If we find a way to attract these fans the attendance will rise. This brand of basketball is a nice start. Getting the player out there would be another. The Hawks don't do enough promotion. Most people don't even know when they have a game. Blame it on the team and not the fans.
  5. I know we made the right choice in blowing things up. And I am impressed with Bud so far because he doesn't wast any of our players when they are on the floor. Everybody has purpose. What could he have done with W.L.O.C. crew in their heyday? Call me crazy, but I think we could of at least made a conference final.
  6. If we get Asik and give up Milsap does that get us more or less "in" for this year? To rephrase are we better positioned to go for it or does it make us sellers at the deadline. I honestly haven't seen enough of Asik to know.
  7. Man what a season. The finale was just heart wrenching. I have no idea where they go next season.
  8. Finally picked this up. Enjoying it so far.
  9. I don't think Turner fits with our offensive philosophy. He is a poor shooter and where do we go inside for offense?
  10. This. Also, I still remember Hubie talking about how much conditioning it takes for the guys to run this offense properly. I think we are seeing this take effect in the past 10 games. Guys should get their second wind after the Holidays. Bud also said Jeff should not be judged on effectiveness by 20/10 etc. He really has the philosophy of not featuring any player on this roster. He mentioned Jeff's post passing as an area of growth this season.
  11. What a gut wrenching win. You do all that to give the game away and then a rookie mistakenly saves the game. The bad luck continues.
  12. I want no part of that trade. This wouldn't make us as good as Miami or Indy. The money is not better and we still don't get a marketable star. We lose our best inside scorer and become even more dependent on the jump shot. If Danny made this deal I might lose it lol
  13. Metta World Peace, SF 20 MIN | 5-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 3 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 12 PTS | +1 It came to pass that the best crop had been sewn by Mettayahu, a strange mystic who had aged a full 700 years. His children, of which there were 80, and grandchildren, of which there were 600, and great grandchildren, of which there were 3,000, had left him, and Mettayahu had tended the acreage by his own hand, and the crops came in full and flowering, and it fed the village during the worst famine. And he would grind the wheat, which measured 12 kabs in quantity, and to the wheat he would add water, and with the wheat and the water he would make a wet bread, and from this wet bread he would make shells, and he would place these shells in boiling water, and he would cook the shells in boiling water for five to seven minutes, or until just tender, being sure not to overcook, and he would strain the shells, and he would add tomatoes and olive oil, and with this he would feed the village, and this brought the village much joy, as eating shells from the sea would cause their eyes to melt and their limbs to fall onto the ground and shatter, and they would be damned for eternity. And the shells pleased all bout Kenneth, who preferred elbows. Confucious, 10:40 Man.....just......I had to laugh....poor Knick fans.
  14. Love it when Dolf goes ............... On a poster lol
  15. People had the same complaints about the Falcons until Dan Reeves, Arthur Blank, and MV7 came to our town. If you build it they will come. Get good management, go to the Finals, have competent ownership, and bring in a super star. Do these things in any order and you will have a waiting list for season tickets.
  16. I'm thankful for good, smart basketball Korver behind the arc, steady swish'n Sap's moves in the paint Josh now playing with the Pistons Teague when he's aggressive passes straight like an arrow Horf double doubles the hustle of DeMarre Carroll seeing Schröder play defense Antić and his ball fake franchise under Ferry we're in good hands like All-state our bench is good this year a seasoned vet in Elton Brand Lou Will coming back Gray Mule likes our Mexican Shelvin Mack as the 3rd guard John Jenkins when he's HOT Cartier Martin bringing energy and my new favorite Mike Scott Yes squawkers its a new team love the dunks by Cunningham So Happy Thanksgiving I'm saying to all my Hawksquawk fam..... 17. had this exact same thought..good ranking. I would put swift and milicic over Williams. At least they did contribute at some point.
  18. Is there a reason you need it right now? If you are willing to wait you can definitely find them in January with now issue. I remember when the current editions came out. People were fighting in the stores and getting shot etc. I waited until mid-January and actually got an after Christmas deal on a bundle for the Xbox 360. Patience is priceless.
  19. Hey leave DJ alone......his kid came up with that idea.......
  20. 11 games in to a new system, with what 7 new players? Against a championship hardened club with a team comprised of guys who have been together for at least 2 seasons? Come on Hawksquawk. Be realistic. It was a litmus test. We put the ship in rough seas and took on a little water. Go back to shore and get back to work. Bud and Ferry new the ship was probably not sea worthy. If we had of beat the Heat by 40 it still would be one game and we would be in the same boat. You can't win titles in November.
  21. Maybe I am the only one, but I am interested to see what Mike Scott does. His skill set is intriguing and the defensive intensity might be just the ticket to make his current minutes stick.
  22. Looks like he is in his socks. Depending on how he had them tailored the pants might not be as bad as you think.
