  1. Maybe Lou is being played so much because we need him? Or maybe just maybe we need to evaluate him? We aren't winning the title this year without a major move, so the more we know about every guy on this roster, the more we know about what to do this summer. Don't you guys remember how players languished on the bench under Woody and Drew without ever getting a chance to show what they are/aren't?
  2. D hope you are okay after the hospital stay. Comeback and have fun. We promise not to take you or ourselves to seriously.
  3. http://deadspin.com/investigation-finds-pattern-of-harassment-in-miami-1522833437 This doesn't look good @Dolfan .....might be some more suspensions coming down the pike.
  4. Problem is you could of said the same thing 3 years ago.
  5. I like that, but I couldn't quite see Chauncey ok of the trade. Doesn't he have a no trade clause? As for Brand, I thought the Celtics might need a younger guy like Antić who won't cause trouble with the tanking. Brand might balk at playing for the Celtics if they are tanking.
  6. Here's my thinking........ Celtics: You get guys that immediately become trade bait in the offseason. Monroe isn't locking up your cap. You still get to tank. Pistons: The 3 big formation doesn't work. You get an athletic scorer defender that can play with smoove and your center. You have him for 3 years as opposed to the 1 for Monroe. You also save money and open up playing time. I could see taking pope out and putting Chauncy or another of their guys in.
  7. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n95ksnx Maybe Jeff Green to the Hawks is clever mirage?
  8. In my opinion you keep DMC. If you can add Jeff Green you do so by trading from positions of strength. We need more athletic wings.
  9. Yeah, both teams could use more talent, but not young talent. They need to learn to win. They need to experience meaningful games in IMHO. I like the idea of everyone getting a lottery ball, but the NBA already has a fairness perception. Let's say the Knicks, LA, and Chicago went 123 this year. They would never live down the conspiracy theories. Perhaps a better scenario is that you limit a team to not being lottery eligible for more than 2 consecutive years?
  10. It will never happen, but boy would it make things interesting. Take a team like our Hawks. We don't really need to be in the playoffs, but we don't want to tank. Then you have a team like Cleveland and Charlotte etc. who want to be in the playoffs and don't need another lottery pick. What if when we eventually get our playoff spot we could trade Cleveland for a lottery pick. They take our spot, the teams are reseeded according to record, and now Cleveland is the 8th seed and everybody moves up accordingly. To keep it fair we make it top 3 seed protected. You don't want division winners trading out of the playoffs. I know its crazy, but it is a fun thought.
  11. Thursday, February 6, 2014 ESPN the Mag details Gonzalez's final trek By Vaughn McClure Tony Gonzalez didn’t walk into retirement quietly. And maybe he’s not done just yet after all. GonzalezThe Atlanta Falcons' tight end had plenty to say while shadowed by ESPN the Magazine senior writer Seth Wickersham throughout the 2013 season. The masterful piece will appear on newsstands on Friday, and on the Web next week. Here are some excerpts: [*]Regarding QB Matt Ryan, a close friend: "Matt's an excellent quarterback. But he's not elite. He's this close," says Gonzalez, placing his thumb near his index finger. "He'll get there, but he has some learning to do." With the Oct. 29 trade deadline approaching, the Falcons were 2-5. Gonzalez met with coach Mike Smith and GM Thomas Dimitroff. He was careful not to ask for a trade, but he made it clear that he would accept one. Gonzalez told Seth later: "You trade me to a team that needs me, that wants to make a serious run in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. You get something in return for a guy who you know won't be here next year. And the season isn't going anywhere anyway. That's rational." At the trade deadline, Gonzalez sat at a restaurant with his wife and waited to hear which team it would be. When that call never came, he was not happy. Despite all the drama and disappointment this season, Gonzalez consistently confessed that he isn't so sure about retirement: At dinner with Ryan one night, Gonzalez said, "Maybe, if the team is hot in November, 9-2 or something, I could come back for the last two months."
  12. Exactly, but lets not get the merry go round started again.
  13. Yeah it was an obvious move on both players. Now Decoud and Reynolds should be next.
  14. Prayers for you and your family. Sounds like poisoning or an allergic reaction. Ask if he recently changed his diet or started some new supplementsSent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
  15. Hell, while we are wishing upon a star...give me a double..get Melo and Love...and Rondo...its the new big three...Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
  16. Let's be honest here. Back injuries can be death knell for hoopers. Then you take an athletically limited guy like Jenkins who doesn't have ideal size. The prospects aren't good. If Danny cuts bait via trade or whatever I would not blame him.
  17. 70 bags of heroin have reportedly been found......is this a suicide?
  18. Then why is one of the guys who people would most like to see in a super bowl? He is great, but he has been on a lot of losing teams with great numbers. Barry Sanders is another example. You need the whole team in the NFL.

  20. This team is built for some great player to come and lead us to the promise land. If I see it I know they do.
