WoW............................Im not going to say yall are hatin cause everybody has their own opinion but i am going to say i have to disagree with you that crawford cant play pg cause really he can. What it is, is that he's a shoot first guard but when it comes to assists him and bibby are on the same page. Both average 5 assists. People say bibby gets his team more involved. Really! all i ever see bibby do is give the ball to jj once he's up the court like every other hawk. So maybe crawford isnt a true pg but in this woody offense system he's a perfect fit cause woody dont know how to use a true pg. Then when it comes down to it the way we run our offense, uhhhhh wouldnt you rather want to have crawford in iso rather than bibby ( a pick and roll pg) who rarely can get to the basket or free throw line?.................uhhhh yeah im taking crawford

Same here he looks like he's expecting to start and he sounds like he is glad to play along side with joe johnson. Great trade hawks!!!!

I love this trade crawford will make us better and unlike others I do think he should start especially if bibby is not coming back! To me he is going to fit our system better than bibby though he isnt a real or true pg. He's going to fit because woodson doesnt even know how to play a true pg and all woody do is iso and i think crawford's iso is much better than bibby's. Bibby is a pick and roll pg, he doesnt do the iso thing as well, but crawford can take his man to the goal and get to the free throw line. Crawford can even hit the 3 like bibby. On top of that he's a 6'5 pg thats even better. Good pickup and were even stronger now cause our backcourt has size and will score better.

Im loving this trade if it goes through. I wonder whats going to happen with bibby now! We will probably be drafting a point tomorrow and that would probably mean we wont resign bibby.......................well i have no problem with that i like crawford and i do think he can fit in woodys offense system a little better than bibby, plus he can drive and get to the free throw line and his assist are the same not only that he's 6'5 thats pretty damn tall for a pg! Im lovin this trade. Hawks make it happen.

ok i get what your sayin but you act like iverson cant hit a wide open shot. i mean yeah i know he isnt better than bibby when it comes to 3s but AI can hit them and its even more likely to drop if he's open. I will even say this I bet if we got AI all those double teams on JJ wouldnt happen as much cause they know not to let iverson iso against his defender all game and believe me iverson would love to be in a iso type offense. Hell he may pull more double teams than JJ and have to kick it out to him. An bibby does work in woodys offnse some what but heres a big diff in bibby and AI:When bibby shot is off he's not effective at all to this ball club but if AI shot is off he's going to start taking that ball to the goal and either convert or try to get on the free throw line but bibby on the other hand will just keep shooting and shooting trying to get going.

true thats why i say if that was to happen we should sign curry with that draft pick and hope he becomes an good iso player in the nba.

it sounds good then maybe we pick curry and were good but until then i say we get iverson cause i seriously doubt the asg will trade jj

Ok i know your like what the hell JTB but check this. We need somebody to create their own shot right and bibby isnt that type of player. I mean its not like bibby get a ton of assist or something.So why not try iverson out his assist are the same as bibby and on top of everything......since iverson is an outstanding scorer and can create his own shot, he fits right into woodsons offense. ISO's are all the hawks do with their backcourt and since it hasnt changed up to this point in woodys offense it probably wont as long as woody is the coach. no iverson doesnt have a good history with the nuggets or the pistons but those teams needed an actual pg who can run a team and do pick n rolls, screens and all those other plays we dont do. All we do is run down the court and run iso through either johnson, bibby, or flip the rest of the players just stand there waiting to get the ball. why not do this with iverson. we need a team of shot creaters in order to be elite. there is no need for a true pg cause woody doesnt know how to use them. check out this lineup: pg:iverson sg:johnson sf: get a create your own shot player out the draft whoever that may be pf:smith C:horford Call me crazy but its true. We would be better if we had iverson! Woody wouldnt know what to do with a cp3 type player cause he's going to keep running his iso offense so why not pick up A.I.

Ok the draft is right around the corner and i was thinking........since woody isnt going anywhere we mine as well atleast try to draft players that work in his so called offense scheme which is nothing but isos. So with that said to my knowledge after watching the hawks this season and in the playoffs ive noticed certain things that could make us an elite team. in order to be elite we must: -watching the season and playoffs of the hawks it seems that in order to make woodys offense scheme successful you have to have players that can "create their own shot" and the only two i know that we have is johnson and flip. -we need to draft a pg or sf who is capable of "creating their own shot" or lets just say making plays on the offense end. Bibby is not this type of pg he dont create for himself and never has had to until he got on the hawks. bibby is a pick n roll pg, he's not baron davis or somebody. As for marv, I have nothing against him and im not even sure if he cant create his own shot really, cause i have seen him do it. To me marv just doesnt show that aggressiveness that he has all the time. -as for big men go i would like to see us draft bj mullens i think his athletism is going to take him along way in the nba. what i dont understand is why people want to trade smith so fast in a hurry and not horford. i mean really if horford did play the pf whos to say he's going to be a scorer. I mean we know smith is a scorer!hell he was our best player in the playoffs. but i guess im not to argue if we were to get bosh or amare i mean those 12 or 15 footers smith misses when hes open would surely be made by bosh or amare especially if they are open. To all reader's I am begging you to please answer the question below and explain. Cause im a concerned hawk fan who wants this team to be better NOW!!! So what players in the draft do you think will work in woody's offense? (Remember in order to work in woodys offense you have to be able to create your own shot and make plays. So who in the draft can create their own shot at the next level at the positions we need (pg,sf) cause i have no idea?)

you took the words right out of my mouth but theres only one problem............woody aint going no where, especially if he keeps getting us to the playoffs and atleast to the second round. If he keeps that up we will be stuck with woody possibly the next 3 years if he gets us to the second round. What im saying is that we dont have anything to lose if we got bosh, amare, or even boozer? i can guarantee that bosh, amare, and boozer could knock down those 12 footers smith seem to miss. In the end if smith stays around woody he aint going to get better unless he actually just take a off-season and develop atleast a solid 12 footer and i rather smith does that, then us trying to trading him but every year he come back with that same pitiful shot he had all the other years. If marvin can develop a 3pt than i know for a fact smith can atleast develop a solid 12 foot shot i mean come on, thats not even asking alot!!!!!

I understand what your saying but what else are we going to do cause woody isnt going anywhere. So tell me does it hurt us to even make these trades? (atleast if we did get those players and the results are the same, atleast we can officially see and say that its woody holding us back. an hopefully the asg can too?) cause right now if you think about it woody can complain about certain things on his team ~like smith taking too many shots~lets be real i dont like woody but he doesnt tell smith to take all these shots he's taking.So if we get woody someone like bosh then maybe woodys dumbass offensive system will work, cause bosh can hit those jumpers smith seems to miss all the time.(an yeah i do know smith is forced to shoot those jumpers sometime because of the shot clock but there has been plenty of times that smith has gone overboard wit the shooting)

Man I been trying to be quiet but I cant believe how many people are so mad. I mean im a j smoove fan as well but after looking what this team may be next season, im not mad at all. Check this out: 2009/2010 Hawks starters pg-bibby or ramone sessions or jarret jack or raymond felton sg-johnson sf-marvin pf-smith or chris bosh or carlos boozer or amare stoudamire or david lee c-horford An I mean you can switch those lineups (who knows maybe jarret jack and bosh will come to the team or sessions and amare) ATL you cant say that any of these lineups isnt better than what we have now. If this happens this team is much improved in my eyes, I understand how much you may like smith but come on do you see these lineups!!!!!!!!!!! *I also wanted to add that bosh/amare/boozer are 20pt, 10 reb big men and smith isnt(ok well amare/bosh is just about there with 20pt, 9 reb. but they there). yeah maybe they d isnt as good but they are 20pt scorers and can put they points up on a nightly basis which is something smith cant do, so they do something every game and they surely put up there points.Johnson needs another scorer who will no doubt put his points up and these guys can do it. i agree. i also want to add that johnson needs to start talking up more because he is our team leader and if he thinks we can trade smith for bosh or amare then why even complain we are still gettin something good at the end.

Problems with frontcourt: 1.theres alot of talk that we our holding ourselves back because horford is a true PF and not a Center. 2.Then there are ones who just cant seem to get over the marv and cp3 thing 3.An for J smoove there are ones who say he cant shoot............(okay, that one i cant argue wit). 4.we actually have people that want to trade away marv and j smoove My answer to all these problems: 1. You say we are holding horford back, well okay thats your opinon but lets look into all the facts. -you would have to agree that horford is in the better half of the centers of the league -you would have to say that the fact he's playin out of position cause he is a true PF that Big Al is doing a good a** job at center -you would have to say that its dumb if you are one of the people that say....."man horford cant check D. Howad for sh*t" (well mutha***** what big man can check D. Howard?) -you would have to agree that height isnt Big Al's problem cause most centers are 6"10 and up in the league -you would have to agree if Big Al gained some weight over this summer that he could then really bang with the big boyz but you got to love his efforts that he is giving. -You would have to agree if he gained weight our center problems are over with but shouldnt really be an issue cause its not holding us back from being elite. 2. You say the hawks were dumb for picking marv, okay thats your opinon but lets look into all the facts: -You would have to agree that no matter who you are in this world, YOU will never no how good a player is going to be whether they are drafted high or low. -You would have to agree that you or anybody else did not know how good cp3 was going to turn out. -You would have to agree that marv is getting better every year and hes young any is only going to keep developing as he goes on in his career. 3. But I’m in 100 percent agreement with anyone that thinks that’s a good idea. I’m not giving away my list of free agent targets here. I think we can move up to the elite teams also if this happened but thats a big if dealing with the asg but good plan on the roster. Now all we need is a offense coach to help out woody and were set! Also i like jack as a point guard on this team i think he can make us elite and come at a cheaper price than other point guards. He can shoot the 3, play defense, and drive to the basket. then he's only 26! i say he's better than sessions and felton but thats my opinion.

i have no problem seeing him on this team. he could be a big help off the bench plus we need another solid backup big man besides zaza. though there is solo but he just doesnt seem ready yet but maybe he would be if he had more minutes but who knows.

oh. well that seems like its going to be hard to do, but im going to stay involved just cause im a true hawks fan. I just hope this works!!!!!!! :helpsmilie: :angel19:
