  1. Na the Hawks are still an ATL team, as an ATL team they only win so they can ensure a bigger disappointment later down the line. No way we win tonight, but it's been a good season regardless
  2. I'll never think an ATL team will ever over come odds and win a game like this. Been a great year thankful of what the hawks pulled off this year but I've seen this movie before in Atlanta.
  3. No matter what happens this has been a great season and great post season. The team has shown they are now as good as we expected and show lots of heart and fight. Trae is now a legit superstar and the team is really coming together.
  4. Yep glad to see the site back up, thought it was gone forever, just checked to see it's still alive
  5. F this crap, no guarantee this "process" will pay off at the least we should have kept THJR as he could be a center piece to the team long term. I stopped supporting the Braves when they tanked and will do,the same with the Hawks. 2 out of the 3 ATL sports teams are in a self imposed tank job with ZERO guarantee it will ever pay off. I will not be supporting in this crap. Sports team have to remain competitive while building a roster, to do anything else is telling the current fans and season ticket holders to F off. Can they tank tickets prices while they tank this roster? Didn't think so It is no surprise the only ATL sports team not tanking now is owned by an actual person that actually gives a damn about it's fans. Tanking is not a viable option and I will give a big middle finger to this team for going down that route.

    GOODBYE THJ!

Yep, do we want to win or just save money and collect draft picks like the Braves and suck for 3-5 years?

    GOODBYE THJ!

Wow this is the worst possible move this team could make. A 25 year old star on the rise and we ship him off. Done with this team F them
  8. Don't really buy it, this never translated to on the court issues even if it was true and Dwight played well stayed healthy and tried pretty hard.
  9. We need to do whatever it takes to keep him. You gotta keep guys entering their prime that have already delivered. It's one thing to not pay guys over 30 to much but at 25 and hitting it big here as a team you have to keep those types of guys.
  10. Yea blaming the fans for this crap has to stop, we aren't the ones selling the team to nameless corporations that don't give a flip if the team wins or not.
  11. Braves 2.0, get ready for 5 years of crappy play with the hope that one day we will be a consistent playoff team like we are now.
  12. If only the fans could have offered Sap a contract things would all be better, Dang fans fault again
  13. Now if only the FANS would have offered him a contract none of this would have happened
  14. Also I still think it is ridiculous people blaming fans for how bad ATL teams are. Our teams are historically bad through multiple Decades, they are run by people or corporations that only use these teams as Tax Write offs. Only the Falcons since Blank bought them is the exception. The Falcons have been a pretty competitive team with only a scattering of bad years since 2000 the Owner shows he gives a damn and will fire and make changes when we lose more than two years in a row AND Falcons games are always sold out. The Braves were well supported until it was obvious that team was built for the Regular season and people got tired of off season exits. Again a better owner could have put more money behind them to push them through and get a few more WS's. It's not the Fans fault ATL teams suck and have sucked for Decades
  15. We shouldn't have to be strong enough. Any team that Tanks deserves a fanbase to walk out on them. A tanking team is basically saying FU to current fans and and season ticket holders. It is pretty much cheating. The skill in building a winning team is you have to remain competitive and worth watching while trying to improve your roster. Teams that tank throw that out the window and expect fans to watch crap for years with the hope that "MAYBE" that gamble will pay off. If it doesn't pay off you just have a perpetually crappy team.
  16. "I'm not saying it's solely the fans faults" It's not the fans fault AT ALL, just remove that argument from the conversation. The fault lies in the never ending barrage of Crappy owners/Corporate owners making horrible decisions and treating ATL teams like a tax write off instead of something worth investing in. Even though the Falcons have not won a SB they have been the most consistently well run ATL team and it is not surprise it is because that Franchise has an owner who cares and the games are sold out.
  17. And yet ATL sports teams give us the same results over and over again. Only the Falcons are run well cause they have an actual Human being as an owner that actually gives a damn but even that can't escape the ATL sports curse having lost the SB in the worst possible way. People gotta stop blaming fans for Decades upon Decades of horrible ATL sports teams, or teams that do just well enough to give you hope only to falter in the spot light.
  18. Stop blaming Fans, ATL sports teams have been some of the worst run teams in Major league sports on a consistent basis since the 1960's. At some point as a fan you just have to walk away cause the enjoyment of being a Fan is outweighed by decades of pain. When being a fan is more painful then finding another hobby then you walk away.
  19. Like I said you have to build the roster while remaining competitive, I'll repeat it as many times as you want. The Braves did not do that we had a young core to build around. BUILD ROSTER-- REMAIN COMPETITIVE, BUILD ROSTER-- REMAIN COMPETITIVE,BUILD ROSTER-- REMAIN COMPETITIVE
  20. Braves had a good core of young players to build around and they shipped them all for high school prospects and in the meantime put out some horrible teams. Braves are still under .500 and people are acting like they are contending. They are still not that good and we still don't know if nuking all the young talent we had a few years ago is going to pay off. Like I said you have to at least "attempt" to remain competitive while rebuilding a roster, The Braves openly said FU and nuked our roster for kids that may never pay off. It was an insult to current fans.
  21. Braves tanked on purpose and provided several years of crappy Baseball and a Big FU to current fans and season ticket holders. You have to remain competitive while building your roster cause you have people paying hard earned money to see a Sports team each year. You don't get to pause that and tell current fans to F off.
  22. Yea trading Dwight is gonna scare of potential FA's. He played his heart out here, was never a locker room or media issue and he had good stats all year and we just ship him along after one year. We do not have the winning history to get good players here and we certainly don;t have a history of treating player well.
  23. They will go to the playoffs and aren't tanking like the Braves. For an ATL team that is pretty good. If they happen to make a deep playoff run I can only hope they don't choke like the Falcons. I swore off the Braves for tanking and am done with the Falcons due to the historic choke job in the SB. So the Hawks are the last ATL team I'll,follow for now. If they tank next year or pull a collasal choke job I'm done with ATL sports for good.
  24. If this team tanks and blows it up they are dead to me just like the Braves are. I have not time or patience for a team that has been to the playoff 9 years in a row to blow everything and suck for a few years hoping to get back to the point where they were before blowing up the team.
  25. Nope, I'm not going to wait through several years of horrible play for the long term potential to be a contender which we are right now. Been an ATL sports fan since the late 70's and I'm putting my foot down on tanking. The Braves have been horrible for several years now and their is no guarantee the tank job will actually pay off. You have to retool the roster for the long term while still trying to stay competitive now. If you can't do both then you suck and you will not get my support. Tanking is an insult to your current fanbase and season ticket holders, it's telling them to go to hell right now and maybe in 4 years we might contend again, maybe. If any ATL team think tanking and sucking on purpose is the proper way to rebuild then I will no longer support the team. I'll never support the Braves again and will drop the Hawks like a bad habit if they go down the tank route.
