    Didn’t Lou contemplate retirement after he was traded here? He had a big game 4 in the ECF, but a multi year deal for him is a hard pass.

    I’d look at moving Capela only if that means they are filling the void immediately. Insert Jarrett Allen.

    I like this Milwaukee team. Not a single guy who I really dislike on that squad. Only one I have any ill feelings towards is Portis.

    They could have mailed it in a few minutes ago. They battled back and fought hard, but this team isn’t even in the same breath as Milwaukee.

    Clippers have a deep team and lost their best player. They have another upper tier guy to shoulder the load and they have other guys stepping up. Who on the Hawks can fill the void that Trae leaves behind? Its unfortunate that Bogi is also ailing because he is really needed right now. The Hawks depth is comprised of solid to good players. I don’t see them elevating their game without the cog that runs the offense.

    The guys who are not signed after this season can all leave and the team would be fine. Assuming Collins sticks around.

    If everyone was 100% healthy there isn’t a discussion now. Brooklyn would have rolled Milwaukee and they would have done the same to whoever they saw in ECF. You are right that this will be an interesting off season. Collins is going to be tough to figure out.

    If Trae can’t go they may as well just head to Milwaukee and get ready for game 5. They might lose by 60 without him.

    Why did Trae take such a huge step backwards? It was a weird thing that happened, but there is no conspiracy going on or vendetta against the Hawks.

    I watched until half time. Wasn’t on live TV and skimmed through the third and ultimately skipped the fourth quarter altogether. They got their asses run out of the gym. In the playoffs every loss counts the same so the margin of defeat matters none. Regroup, refocus, adjust, and continue to do things that work. No reason to hang your head.

    They want to ignore the Hawks as much as possible and as long as possible. Round 1 it was all about the Knicks and Randle not stepping up. Round 2 it was all about Simmons and his inability to be mentally tough. If the Hawks win this series and make the finals the narrative will be Bud’s failure and Giannis isn’t the man. Eventually they are going to run out of excuses and other teams to talk about and can no longer dismiss the Hawks.

    Not sure its an adjustment, but more an observation. Limit the Bucks top 3 and the Hawks have a chance. You know Giannis will get 25. The key is not letting Holiday and Middleton get their 25 as well.

    The trade worked out for both teams I think. Trae is putting people on notice (myself included), but you can admit that Luka is better, but you’d rather have Trae. Today it looks like they are both outstanding players.

    Haven’t watched a ton of basketball l over the course of the season. I’ve watched a lot during the playoffs and all I know is that I’ve been wrong about almost everything. Milwaukee should win the series, but the Hawks are never out of it as this post season has shown us. I honestly don’t know who will win the series, but I do think it’s going to be a grind no matter what. Much more competitive than what some people may think too.

    That’s a sorry excuse. I bet the one time someone gives Allen what he deserves he’d realize there are consequences for how he plays. Lesson learned.
