  1. A towering titan of nothingness......I love it. :thumbsupsmileyanim: :friends1:
  2. I guess I'll pile on too. I could see MW getting fewer shots if we've got more talent out there taking shots. But that should mean that MW would be taking better shots and hitting a higher percentage. But he's not - his 3pt % is down from the 08-09 season and his 2 pt % is pretty much unchanged. I think his decline goes directly to him getting a contract extension. He's got his $, just doens't care. The year before his deal is up, may show improvement.
  3. Better yet trade him for Angel. She's on her way up in her career.
  4. What's wrong with Mayo? I haven't seen him play much, so don't know what the problem with him is or why Memphis wants to dump him. He seemed to do well last few years. As for Thebeet, pretty interesting how scouts could be so wrong on him. He went second in the draft,. And if Memphis hadn't grabbed him, someone else probably woudl have. Interesting comments on his NBA bio page - his name means "destroyer of evil." Also earned money for his family as a runway model. This guy has had an interesting life up to this point for sure. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/hasheem_thabeet/bio.html

    Hawks vs Pacers

They are a lot better than a lot of the teams. One think I like better about the team this year. They may not be beating the winners, but they are beating the losers. Last few years it seemed like they would play well against the really good teams and then struggle against the weaker teams. Say they had hung in there and won in SA, then lost to Indy, their record would be the same.

I wondered that too. Sometimes I think maybe teams are afraid to put a marginal hometown favorite type guy on the roster, for fear if he doesn't make it, the fans will get angry.
  7. I'd like to see what JC2 can do. And Teague should get enough time to show if he's got what it takes. I'm afraid LD has fallen into Woody's trap of coaching in fear of losing his job.
  8. Seems like the flaw is the same its been for a long time - no pg and no center. Well, with center maybe the Collins experiment will work, but its hard to see Marvin as a starting guard. As for the SA game, I saw it as sort of a win. Didn't get embarrassed against team playing the best ball in the leage right now. Made a game of it w.o JJ and ZZ.
  9. Don't even bother. It won't happen. I'd consider it a win if they lose by less than10.
  10. No she aint. I checked in on the web. Your are thinking of the other Ciara. :slap1:

    Damn Sund

    Wasn't Bibby midseason?
  12. :inlove1: Ciara is right - if he don't love you by now he never will. It was love at first sight for me.
  13. I don't follow college ball enough to know who's good. It is strange isn't it that years ago, the drafting strategy was to get a guy 6'9" good or bad. Of those, 2 were good (Al and Josh) 1 was a washout (Sheldon) and 3 failed to deliver (Solo, Chilz and Marv). Since we needed a center that didn't make sense. Lately its become more apparent we also need a PG. Now we always draft a SG or combo type guy (Salim, Acie, Jeff and JC2) . Then we don't play them.
  14. Doesn't seem so far like we miss him. We can still beat bad teams and lose to good ones. (I don't really count the Orlando win. Those guys were sick or just getting over being sick.0
  15. A friend of mine lives in Portland. He hates Fernandez. Would trade him in a second. (He's not the Portland GM, however, so I don't think he has much sway.)
  16. Looks like we will get the chance to see what life w.o. Joe would look like. And if he heals up good, we can hopefully see what it looks like with him.
  17. I don't see the Collins hype. Sure he started two games we won. Last night he played 15 minutes, tonight 19 and fouled out. I think the Hawks can afford to play him if there are a couple other guys with a hot hand. He is just no threat at all on offense - can hardly make a dunk, and drops the ball when its passed to him. Lopez got 24 tonight (I bet thats above his aveage) and Howard was recovering from the flue. I give him credit - he's in much better shape this year and does try. I could see him as a backup.
  18. There are very few guys with his talent. I wish he had played under Bobby Knight for a few years. Would have made a world of difference if he had a good college coach. (And even though Knight was a psycho, I think it wold have taken someone like him to get through to Josh.)
  19. +1+1+1+1+1+1+1.....+1. You took the time to write down everything I've been thinking. :thumbsupsmileyanim: .
  20. I am pretty excited about this too. He always did light it up against us. Maybe playing here in ATL will be what he needs to make the most of his talent on a consistant basis. I am wondering though why he's available? Looks like he has not been playing this year. Hope he is in shape.
  21. I'm afraid you are right. Started out looking a lot more bold than he doe now. Now he seems more and more worried about his job. Before long he will be looking more and more like Woody. Since he's got such a low contract, firing him is a lot easier than would be otherwise.
  22. What about JC2 for whoever it was? And there was Josh Childress for Trade Exception And my favorite - 2nd round pick (Tibor Pliess?) for $3 million.
  23. Cak was the worst no doubt. Joe's old contract was really ok. Its the new one that bothers me. Was Speedy really that bad of a deal since he was injured so much, would he have got paid from disability insurance? (Not sure if that counted against the cap or not, though.)
  24. Its not like he's really lighting it up. I'd say rest him.
  25. How can anyone but Isaiah Rider be all time worst? Ruined team chemistry - led to the disolution of the entire team, resulting in the rebuilding process we are now six years into. Jon Koncak would be second - way over paid for six years because he had a few good games in the playoffs. I think Joe Johnson could well be on the list as well. He will be paid $120 million or so for six years, pretty much dooming the team to .500 records or worse as we won't be able to get out from under his contract. There were lots of guys who were disappointing draft picks - too many to name, or even remember.
