  1. Source? The link doesn't work and there's nothing from Aldridge on Twitter regarding Al.
  2. No matter how well we do, we could still have a high lottery pick.
  3. I don't buy it, because the injury wasn't a cumulative thing, it was a sudden thing. It's not like playing center wore down his pec until it finally gave out, he tore his pec as a result of a single play, which could have occurred if he was playing at any position.
  4. From ESPN Insider, on the Hawks chances this season:
  5. I wouldn't mind getting Bynum. If he got in Coach Bud's doghouse, we'd send him packing. The remainder of his 13-14 salary would be a sunk cost, but it would be a reasonable amount. But, there's no reasonable way we could acquire him. We have no bad contracts to trade for him, and he wouldn't sign with us if released.
  6. You can't really get angry at Austin Carr for this in particular, it's kind of his "thing" to make boneheaded, nonsensical statements all game long. Some Cavs fans love his enthusiasm, while (more) others would be happy to see him go.
  7. Orlando and Philadelphia are all fully committed to the tank. No worries there. Milwaukee will soon be in that group, even though that wasn't their intention coming into this season. We're better than Boston, Charlotte, Cleveland, and Washington. There's room for debate there, but that's how I see it.I've been optimistic about Brooklyn and New York through all their struggles, but it's time to realize that their teams are dumpster fires and at least one of them won't turn it around.Detroit is more talented then we are, but we are far more disciplined and better coached. The Bulls are on par with us. On paper they're probably a little better, but Deng is injury-prone and the Rose injury took the wind out of their sails. So we're still easily better than 2/3 of the East.
  8. That's hyperbole. Ayón is decent. He's fundamentally sound and a better rebounder than Antić. At this stage of his career, Collins is a 15th man at best.
  9. I can't believe so many people on here have mentioned trading Millsap. He is one of the better power forwards in the NBA (easily one of the most underrated), he'll never be a distraction, he has a team friendly contract, and he fits well with our style of play. If anything I'd be looking to extend him next year.
  10. With Horford out, Asik seems like the most realistic center target that wouldn't require us to give up Millsap, Korver, or Teague. In my mind, the big question is "how do the Rockets feel about Dennis Schröder?". Do they think he's good enough that they would accept a package of Schröder, Brand, and Jenkins/Cunningham for Asik? I don't think they do.
  11. There's no way to prove that his position had anything to do with his injuries. I really doubt it had that much of an effect, and this could have happened to a PF just as easily as it could a C.
  12. Dorrell already signed with Portland. I'm lukewarm on the idea of signing Nick Young. Like his swag, don't know if he's a piece that would fit our puzzle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDoOT6z86Dg
  13. I think this is the comparison we should be making. We had Crawf for 2 years at about $9.5m/yr, and everybody saw how good he was. Going into his 8th season, Monta Ellis has comparable all-around numbers to Crawford. If he comes here with a good attitude, with a contract similar to Millsap's, maybe with a team option for the second year, I could warm up to that.
  14. lol DF has really killed the Jazz since he's been here
  15. Have you seen Josh play? Honest question. He kills his own team time and time again with horrific shot selection. 100 million dollars? Now I know you're trolling. The consensus is that Millsap is, if not an upgrade from Josh, a far better value than Josh. And it's not close. You chose to ignore "geek PER and WARP." How about geek RPG and FG%? How about geek shot selection, heart, and leadership? How about the "sight test" that you love? Ask several coaches and GMs which of these two players they'd rather have, I guarantee they choose Paul Millsap.
  16. Aside from semantics, there is really no difference between being a power forward and a center. Look at Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. I can almost guarantee Al does not care.
  17. I don't know if he's too uncoachable/immature for DF's preferences, but I am thinking why not throw out an offer to Bynum. His market seems to have really dwindled, so he might accept a team-friendly deal. Maybe a 2 year deal with a team option for the last year.
  18. I'm not trying to disrespect anybody here, but I don't know if we watched the same Josh Smith over the last few years. Look at any stats you want, then watch a game of basketball, then tell me that Josh does more to help his team win than Millsap does. You can't do it.
  19. TALENT wise, Derrick Coleman was way better than Charles Barkley. "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Give me Millsap 7 days a week over Josh and his "talent."
  20. We are not tanking. The moves we made seem to confirm that. Plus, how many teams go into a season knowing they are going to tank? That is rare. Usually "tanking" occurs when teams mail it in coming down the stretch of a disappointing season, but very few teams go into a year planning to tank.
