  1. I just don't understand what happened to Jeff and Paul. Last playoffs they both absolutely dominated and would take over games. Paul George even had to guard Teague himself because nobody else could. Now they can't even score against mediocre role players. They've both totally lost their aggressiveness. I want 14 playoffs Paul and Jeff. Too bad it's probably too late at this point
  2. LOL. Cleveland just so happens to get the number 1 pick the same season hometown kid LeBron is in the draft. Chicago, by some miracle, obtains the number 1 pick the same season D-Rose (hometown kid) is coming out. 3 of the last 4 seasons, Cleveland gets the number 1 pick (odds of this happening are WAY less then 1%). It just so happens all of a sudden LeBron can now come back to his hometown team with stacked assets. There are plenty more examples. No chance the NBA fixes anything...
  3. They definitely don't get a pass. There's no way you can say the game surely goes to overtime, when they were down three and would've had to score with only about 2 seconds on the clock from the other side of the court (they didn't have timeouts left). That DEFINITELY doesn't make up for that terrible non-call on the clear path. Even if they did call the travel, the game was still pretty much a wrap. I'd put the odds of the game going to OT at less than 10%, and the odds of losing the game even less than that.
  4. My first guess was Demarre but then I must admit I cheated and looked it up. All I will say is I was on the right track...
  5. Link It's crazy to think about how much he has improved since he has come to Atlanta. Huge credit goes to Carroll for all of the hard work that he put in, and credit has to be given to our COTY Bud and his staff for their obvious player development skills. What team-oriented player wouldn't LOVE to come play for this coach? You have to love the guys on our team and their selfless attitudes. (Ironic I know coming from JSMOOOOOVE)
  6. LOL c'mon man you act like the cops were thinking "he's black let's use extreme force to break his leg" but they let the 6'11 European thug off fine cause his skin is light.
  7. LOL I'm talking about your repeated Wiggins references. He traded for KLove
  8. I'm not pointing any fingers, but I GUARANTEE if this incident happened in ATL wit ATL cops, Thabo would not have a broken leg. (Hell, they prob never woulda been arrested)
  9. Les get this thread back on topic! I jus wanna feel luved by the ATL!!! How wud you feel if ur hometown booed you off the court?? D:
  10. Hopeful but skeptical is a good way of putting it I feel the same way. Last night definitely gave me hope though.
  11. This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say "reality check." Nobody is arguing that the fans at hawks games have been some of the worst in the nba over the years. That's exactly my point. If it's been like that for years they're not all of a sudden going to become this crazy, raucous crowd over night. It takes time. Last night was a step in the right direction. When was the last time there were that many HAWKS fans at a regular season game at Philips? No LeBron fans no Kobe fans no MVP chants. And no the fans weren't crazy the entire game but they were loud when the team needed it. And Al and Demarre's quotes after the game are proof of that. The city is getting excited about the hawks and if you lived in Atlanta I think you'd have a better idea of the difference between this year and past years. The hawks are the number one topic in sports talk on the radio, yes even more then the falcons finding a new coach. The crowd will keep improving, just gotta be patient.
  12. I've gone to so many games over the years. All the people talking trash about the fans tonight clearly weren't at the game. I was at the game tonight and I can't remember a regular season game with that kind of fan intensity during the regular season since that famous Boston series. Trash the fans all you want about not showing up until the fourth quarter but you gotta start somewhere. We're building something here. All y'all hating on the fans tonight need a realty check.
  13. Ok now he's definitely joking.
  14. I agree! Besides the LeBron signing it's hard to find a single deal where someone wasn't overpaid. For only 2 million per year you gotta love the upside Bazemore brings.
  15. I agree I don't want to overpay for these role players either. Which makes this a bad trade because now we're in a position that we feel like we have to do something this off-season when we could've just kept lou and bebe. Let's just hope bebe's knees are really as bad as everyone is saying or else this trade is gonna go down in hawks history with drafting Marvin over cp3. I'm not saying bebe will turn into a cp3 level talent but if he becomes a starter... This message board will never hear the end of it.
  16. The thing is I think most of us would be fine with not spending this off-season because you're right, everyone is being overpaid. The problem is we traded away assets including our first rounder last year in order to sign someone this off-season. Now that seems like a completely foolish move if we don't sign anyone. Thankfully Houston will look like the laughingstock of the off-season instead of us trading away Lin and a future first hoping to get Bosh.
  17. If the plan is to save cap space for 2015 then we traded away lou and bebe for literally nothing, making it the DUMBEST trade in Atlanta history.
  18. I completely agree with this. If we don't sign anyone THIS off-season then we traded our first round pick for nothing!! He wasn't even on our payroll yet. He HAS TO sign someone this summer or else we might as well have kept lou and had the cap space next summer.
  19. Just saying he had a flair for the dramatic as well to say the least. He didn't shy away from the attention a bit, he savored it. No garbage being spouted.
  20. Except he did, but worse. He only retired 3 times...
  21. Has boy george even seen these dudes play this season?! Millsap wuz even in New Orleans with him on the same all-star team!! Millz took 5.3 FT/game this season while West only attempted 3.7! These bums can't even make good excuses any more. Just plain disrespect. Hopefully he knows about this and goes OFF on Thursday to end this ish!!
  22. Game 2 wuz lost in da 2nd quarter...without Scola making every shot he took da hawks woulda been up by 20 at da half!!! dats da time in the series da hawks wish they still had SMOOOOOVE
