He can pass he can shoot and has sick handles. Give him the pace and space of the NBA I think he will surprise people. People act like he's garbage cause he got hyped to high heaven then once every team focused on containing him he became the biggest bust ever.
Yeah I wasn't being 100% serious but being a fan of any Atlanta team definitely tests the patience of any fan. Doesn't help that I'm a GT fan, too.
I guess I just love misery with the occasional glimpse of hope only to be brought back down to Earth every time.
There are no narratives about Bud, most of us are mad that he left. We all think he's a good coach. Only some have a narrative that he's one of the best of all time, which is ridiculous and not based on any facts.
Bud is one of the best of all time? Based on what exactly? We all thought Bud was a good coach but c'mon now. Why hasn't one of the best of all time been hired yet?
Sorry I couldn't resist.
Back on topic, I think Larranaga should be the top choice. He has been coaching with the best young coach in basketball for the past few years, and he had to have learned a lot from his father who has also been a great coach for a long time. I like the potential there.
Can you confirm that? It seems people on this site have been saying according to an AJC article we are actually paying him (unless he gets another NBA job)?
And some people thought they wouldn't even make the playoffs and then when they did said they'd get easily beat by the Heat. What would you call that person?
I'm not sure if Pop will actually retire this year. If anything he should have retired last year to spend time with his ailing wife. Now that she has passed I feel like that would be the worst time to retire, when you just lost your life partner. What is he going to do sit around in an empty house? I don't see it.
