  1. John Collins hit 0 3’s in 2 years at WF...he improved. Horford improved his set shot a lot over the years. (Not just under Bud) But apparently Bamba can’t improve his jump shot because Ben Simmons hasn’t? And Bagley will never improve his defense because Andrew Wiggins hasn’t? Makes total sense got it.
  2. Yeah because Bamba can’t improve right? And I never even claimed he’s a good shooter but non shooter is incorrect. Doncic can not shoot or pass as well as Trae.
  3. Bagley is actually a very good ball handler for his size. Not many 6’11 guys can handle the ball like him. And I watched many Duke games as well as Wendell Carter at Pace a few times and he’s a tier below Bagley.
  4. So JJJ equates to winning games at the NBA level yet he couldn’t even get crucial minutes in college at the most important part of their season? Makes sense.
  5. Trae and Bamba/Bagley for me.
  6. Yep, again like I said you’re ok with being a treadmill team..it’s a fact. And if whoever we pick at #3 has a strong rookie season and Prince/Collins continue to progress? I will love ever minute of it. #3 pick, Collins, Prince, having a top 2019 pick would be ideal for me...and that doesn’t include 19, 30, 34 and any other trade assets we pick up for the 18 or 19 draft.
  7. Yeah I mean the Hawks had only been to the playoffs 10 straight years and didn’t win one game past the 2nd round. Let’s continue to try and build a contender that way.
  8. 99% of NBA fans disagree. Making the playoffs and losing with no shot at contending now or the future. Literally the defintion of a treadmill team was the old Atlanta Hawks. That’s the difference between us. I want to build and contentor and you want to build a treadmill team.
  9. 21 and 11 for an 18 year old is dominant. And just like Tatum at Duke last year his defense isn’t as bad as you say.
  10. Yeah being a treadmill team and losing in the 1st round is so much better.
  11. That’s your opinion which is in the minority. So in reality it was a great move.
  12. I have honestly not seen anywhere that the Hawks will take Luka. I’m thinking Bagley goes #2 to Sacramento unfortunately.
  13. Young was double teamed on 43.7% of touches past half court in his freshman year at Oklahoma, the closest a PG has ever been to that was Stephen Curry at 31.4%. Still posted 27.4 ppg and 8.7 apg as a 19 year old freshman. Plenty of guards around his size have been stars in the league. And whoever said he is slow is 100% wrong.
  14. Because Trae Young literally has the same star qualities and actually has proven it on the court...also doesn’t have any injury concerns.
  15. Exactly who I want. He works out for the Hawks tomorrow. Porter has not proven anything past high school. Way to risky for me at #3.
  16. Schlenk mentioned he’s down to 3-4 guys for the 3rd spots. Hawks have workouts with Trae Young (Tuesday), Mo Bamba (Thursday), Marvin Bagley and Jaren Jackson. Wonder if those are the final guys he’s considering.
  17. I think Ayton and Bagley will go #1 and #2. I doubt the Hawks take Luka and rumors are both Kings and Hawks will pass on him. Trae led the nation in point and assists as a 19 year old freshman. No way I risk Porter who has proven nothing past high school over him. Tier 1 Ayton Bagley Young Tier 2 Bamba Luka Tier 3 JJJ Porter
  18. Draft Trae Young. Biggest star potential and he will create a buzz around the Hawks. Plus having elite playmakers/shooters is the best way to contend.
  19. I’ve seen a lot of their fans want Doncic so I wonder if they’d give up a pick next year. But you’re right the protection would have to be at worst top 3.
  20. #1 scenario Draft Bagley at #3 #2 scenario (If Bagley is gone) Trade #3 for #6 and ORL pick next year - Draft Trae Young
  21. Bagley is a very good ball handler. You’re making things up now.
  22. Bagley only played 10 minutes vs JJJ and Mich St. Only reason he had 4 and 6.
  23. Nope Bagley was 18 as a freshman and Collins was 19 as a college sophomore. And I dont listen to anything ESPN says so that makes your comment irrelevant.
  24. Bagley can’t shoot based on what? He shot 40% from 3 this year. Not too bad for an 18 year old. He has the potential to be a very good 3 point/mid range shooter. Remember how people thought Tatum wasn’t a good defender? I think Bagley’s defense looked worse in Duke’s scheme than it really is. JJJ is the better defender but Bagley can be a decent defender in time. Difference is that Bagley is the superior offensive player and rebounder.
