  1. Bill Belichick is a big basketball fan and uses match up zone schemes in the secondary. Same as basketball. While he is in town fooling around with the Falcons, the Hawks should take a look at hiring him. Can't do no worse... lmao
  2. I was under the impression that Quinn was a : Instead he is a :
  3. Bally said the Hawks weren't worth paying?
  4. As soon as Capela got that pass it was over. Murray trapped, Capela no moves to get to the basket.
  5. Heck, Capela didn't know what to do with it. He was under the impression Trae was gonna shoot it like the 99 out of 100 times he does. lmao
  6. The Hawks just play bad basketball. No ball movement. Both guards taking turns pounding the ball. No efficient 3 point shooters outside of Bogi. No defense. The list just goes on and on.
  7. We agree that Free Agents want to come here. We have a slight disagreement on why they DON'T come here. The dysfunction is intentional. The NBA is a business. Remember when the NBA front office blocked Chris Paul leaving New Orleans and going to L.A.? The Doncic for Trae trade was made for the same reason. As long as EACH NBA market has at least ONE superstar and that superstar fits the deomographic, thats all the NBA cares about. I believe the Hawks dysfunction is a part of that along with other monetary reasons. People may not like what I say but I been watching this same stuff over and over in Atlanta since the 1970s. Its a game. Its BUSINESS.
  8. I know of no other basketball player that runs up and down the court on his tippy toes other than Jalen Johnson. Other than that, dude is a Allstar in the making, tippy toes or not. He even hugs on his tippy toes, lmao
  9. That is the single most erroneous narrative that has been said for 50 years in pro sports in Atlanta. Free agent athletes are not actively avoiding Atlanta in football, basketball or baseball. Atlanta has always been known as the top destination for former athletes. Why wouldn't they want to come here WHILE they are playing? There are business factors that go into this. Pro sports is MARKETING first. These millionaires with guaranteed contracts are not actively avoiding Atlanta. They love Atlanta. Why not want to come here while they are playing? They got guaranteed money and championships isn't necessarily a priority with them because of it. They can't trade themselves. Its a BUSINESS. The NBA IS TRANSPARENT ABOUT APPROVING TRADES THROUGH THEIR FRONT OFFICE. Heck, Hollywood is even here now and thats A NEW phenomenon in Atlanta that will draw even more former athletes here. Bijaun Robinson of the Falcons got it made. He said BEFORE he was drafted that he wants to be in movies. He can walk out his front door and be on a movie set within minutes, a hour, or whatever. The cost of living, nightlife, music, business, real estate, it goes on and on. Nah. thats a false narrative. If the Hawks REALLY wanted a top free agent they could it one. https://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta-favored-spot-for-athletes-call-home/ePTMedyg4BiylEvOCEAHJJ/ Atlanta’s eclectic mix of high-end real estate, business opportunities, climate and a sizzling nightlife continues to be a magnet that attracts professional athletes. In late 2008, Julius “Dr. J” Erving purchased the Heritage Golf Course in Norcross and is reportedly looking for a home in the area. When Jerome “The Bus” Bettis decided to retire, the native of Detroit made a decision to park the Bus in north Fulton. “I was attracted to Atlanta, even when I was in college,” said Tyrone Hill, a former NBA player who lived here before joining the Atlanta Hawks staff as an assistant coach. “We [Xavier] played Michigan in the NCAA tournament [in 1989]. We lost and went out to dinner, and we got a chance to hang out a little bit. I fell in love with the city then.” Former and current NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB players call the metro area home, some at least for part of the year. From current Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall to former NBA star Ralph Sampson. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-longhorns/2023/04/11/ex-texas-rb-bijan-robinson-talks-acting-affinity-connection-with-matthew-mcconaughey/ Ex-Texas RB Bijan Robinson talks acting affinity, connection with Matthew McConaughey Robinson, a top prospect in the 2023 NFL draft, said McConaughey has given him notes on becoming an actor.
  10. You better OUTWARDLY like Trae or you are OUT of there. Ask: 1. Llyod Pierce 2. Cam Reddish 3. Travis Schlenk 4. John Collins 5. Nate McMillan
  11. The Atlanta Hawks have a Trae Young problem; Quin Snyder is there to fix it, one way, or the other Starting with the locker room, it's no secret there's a serious disconnect between Young, the team's star player, and many -- though some say nearly all -- of his teammates. He is not beloved, sources say, and there's a strong view that Young fails to lead, to understand or care to understand what is required of him, and that as a result the team will never achieve what it should until that reality is fixed. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/the-atlanta-hawks-have-a-trae-young-problem-quin-snyder-is-there-to-fix-it-one-way-or-the-other/
  12. Thats the problem. This mess started when the Hawks forced Travis Schlenk to trade Doncic for Trae...
  13. I agree with the last part. The patience part is they have too much patience. They dangle players out there too long on the trade market and devalue the player's value. The ULTIMATE problem is Trae Young is not a winner, not a champioship type player. He is not a team player. It doesn't matter what kind of rims you put on the car if the engine is bad. Thats the Hawks main problem. He makes players like Hunter look pedestrian. The offense is too Trae centric and not in a good way. Ownership doesn't care because it sells the "ice trae" at State Farm Arena.
  14. I said that a few days ago and Diesel said that don't mean anything, lmao. The entire Western Conference has flipped while the Hawks are just being the Hawks. But hey, they can do the "ice trae" at State Farm Arena.
  15. "Lets hold on to this and build around Trae..."
  16. Down by 14 and Trae launching half court three pointers. Quinn was supposed to stop this mess.
  17. Smells like a USER BLOCK.
  18. Thats not the case here. In fact, Murray's contract is appealing to teams looking to trade for him even though you can say he was overpaid. Its about supply and demand also. Collins game went down because the Hawks went and got Capela to do the pick and rolls. THEY regressed his game. He was a good pairing with Trae Young. They took him out of the offense, THEN tried to trade him. Now they gonna hold on to Murray and Hunter too long, THEN, try and trade them. What i stated is history and facts. There are questions, to be sure, about whether Murray’s fit would be ideal next to another ball dominant lead like Brunson, as Murray’s pairing with Hawks All-Star Trae Young hasn’t brought the dividends Atlanta once imagined. Yet Murray’s four-year, $114 million extension that begins in 2024-25 does make him an intriguing trade target for any team with backcourt questions. https://www.si.com/nba/hawks/news/nba-insider-names-lakers-and-76ers-as-teams-to-watch-for-hawks-guard-dejounte-murray
  19. I read a article somewhere (may have already been posted on here). The article pointed out how the Hawks hold out too long to make trades happen and devalue their trades. John Collins was used as a example. They got nothing for him. This thing with Siakam went too long. The Hunter stuff for two years. Now its Murray. Bad moves on top of bad moves because the Hawks always find themselves not dealing with leverage. Even though I like Hunter for instance and feel he is not the problem (he can benefit from going to a team which will feature him in set plays on offense), the longer they hold on to him, his value drops, same as Collins. Its why teams want Johnson now. They rather get the younger player with possible higher upside. Now the Hawks are not dealing from leverage.
  20. Georgia beat the HECK out of them whining Florida State Seminoles...
