Would you trade Jalen, Murray + others for Giannis? I think we have to trade Murray. OO and Hunter can go too if we can get value out of them. Find a young 7 footer who can catch lobs and shot block. Hopefully Jalen and OO can provide some outside shooting from the frontcourt. Find a wing with real size and strength who can knock down 3s and defend. Simple!

Quin. I thought we'd see a noticeable difference in the team quickly and we didn't. But then it started to really come around. Chemistry on the team improved a lot compared to previous seasons.

This would be typical of our season if we don't play a real PF the whole play in game.

They pulled the old 'be mean to your girlfriend so she breaks up with you' because they were too cheap to actually fire him. Everyone knew that was what was going on. They certainly didn't pay him out of the kindness of their hearts. They knew they were on the hook. They actually ended up having to pay him way less than if they had fired him which i'm sure is why they gave him permission.

Agree but time has come to actually make something happen. I only have so much kudos for them 'wanting' the right the players but not getting them.

And honestly we can't keep thinking that guys like Garrison, Vit, AJ, Forrest are good enough to be key players. No offense to any of them they just aren't there right now. That may change but the really good teams don't rely on them for big rotation minutes.

I know we've argued the Bud leaving ad nauseum in the past. Facts are he left an eff'd up organization that he did a good job for and got one of the better jobs in the NBA and won a title. So at this point I'm not sure how we can still fault him for that. No one in the org complained about him leaving. Travis/Tony everyone wanted him gone. Only reason they didn't fire him is they were content with him lame duck coaching another tanking season so they didn't have to pay 2 coaches. If anything has been proven true it has to be that. So once he was gone they went and got the cheapest coach they could find that had some experience and started saying how much better he was going to develop and relate to the young players than Bud. But did he? No. Quite the opposite.

I don't think anyone including the Hawks themselves think we can get out of the first round of the playoffs with as banged up as we are. I'm not sure the front office really wants to win the play in.

We like our core! Just kidding sort of. I agree with what you said. I'd just like to see some of this team flipped for better, more proven players. I'm interested in maxing out Trae's prime years. That starts with a deep playoff run next year. Should have been this year but here we are.

It's pretty dumb that NBA doesn't consider the play-in a playoff game for statistical purposes but players that are ineligible for the playoffs can't play in the play-in. It should be another regular season game.

Go into the season with an unbalanced roster, no depth, and lots of inexperience then I don't know how you expect to have a good year.

Oh i agree 100% but still we'd have been a lot better team if the money spent on Patty and/or Wes was put toward a similar PF/big.

One thing though is i think all the time he has missed with us were all knee related things. He avoided surgery for a long time but finally had surgery last year. Since then it seems things have been good. Hoping anyway.

This could end up being 100% correct but it still irks me that they basically mailed in the season as a 'development' year. Going into the season with JJ as our only PF on the roster is mind boggling to me and as soon as he got hurt our season fell apart. Meanwhile we carried 10 guards.

I thought we wanted Dyson Daniels? Although i don't know why with Kobe and Vit already in the fold. Murray is on such a great contract we should have a lot of offers to consider if we decide to move him. If we're including OO then i'd think we could get a really good SG and a decent center in return. or a SG and first round picks.

I've been really high on Vit. Seems like he has a lot of tools and great size. But this is starting to feel like a Bazemore kind of deal. I hope it's a cheap 4 year deal.

Knocking off Miami or Philly would be worth it to me.
