Cam, Bogie, Kevin all rank well below Tony in on off and net rating so I'm not sure I find the RAPTOR rating on its own overly compelling. Good news is, at some point Hunter, Dunn, and Cam will all be healthy (presumably) so we'll find out just how right you are and wrong I am. Haha -
Yeah. I'm on record that they should not - absent a blockbuster deal - trade JC. And I don't think they will. Trading him just doesn't line up with their goals of making the playoffs this year. I can't find a potential deal that makes sense and wouldn't hurt them in the short term.

I think your assumptions are wrong. I disagree that they will play the young core or the paid player FA over clearly better players given their own stated goal / expectation of making the playoffs. You are valuing your own assumptions that have not been proven over the team goals that have been stated publicly. I think that's wrong. Your assumptions are logical for teams not interested in making the playoffs. But as it is, the playoffs HAVE to take top priority given the teams stance.

JMO, but the fact that Schlenk is "taking phone calls on JC" is proof they aren't looking to trade him. Otherwise they would have said Schlenk was making phone calls or looking for a trade partner. I mean, it's obvious to everyone that available does NOT equate to " want to trade" right? It should be.

BTW, for anyone interested: Hawks have a net rating of +45 in the 4th Qtr since Nate took over. That's 1st in the NBA. By a lot. They were -8 prior to Nate. That was 30th in the NBA. By a lot.

Not at all. I've been on the Trae needs to score first for the Hawks to win bandwagon all year. I'm all about data and the numbers don't lie. Until the supporting cast becomes more consistent OR the defense becomes reliable, they NEED Trae to score to win MOST nights. Thems the facts.

Been here all night. The kings shot 2-17 from 3pt and scored 18 pts in the second. Thats how the Hawks got the lead. Its undeniable that the Hawks have more success when Trae scores more than facilitates despite the constant screaming for it to be reversed.

Meh... No one is saying he shouldn't have any assists or get his team involved. Thats just a weak argument. The game was put on ice when Trae went nuclear in the 3rd.

One reason is because his passing doesn't usually equate to winning because the teammates don't consistently score the ball enough to offset what Trae doesn't give offensively. Trae scoring 30 and getting 8 ast is a better formula to produce a Hawks win right now than Trae scoring 15 and logging 12 ast (and other 8 would be asts)
