Eh. I'm not sure about that. It's possible. If's... The issue still remains that this is an average team at best as constructed. I don't know the answers to a quick turnaround, but JJ alone doesn't do it. Imho
-
It's an indictment of epic proportions when the best thing you can say is..."Wait until JJ gets back." Even then, you're a .500 team and the other pieces of this conglomerate called the Hawks, reeks of mediocrity. In other words...Meh.

While I wholeheartedly AGREE. I venture to say the construct of this team is hurting the Hawks. Trae...warts and all has bought into Quinn. So what say you, if the coach is good (he's 10x's the coach of anyone the last few years), the players buy in, but you're still unsuccessful? The WRONG players are the sum of the parts. The bigger question is if you trust this FO to get it right. Jury is out..but I'm not optimistic.

Yeah..cause my post said specifically continue to act out. RIF. I said I UNDERSTAND why..I said there are better ways to do it, but the point stands. You can't bytch about him whining about fouls and then act like he doesn't get fouled A LOT.

Not disagreeing..but crying about him crying when he sometimes has a reason to cry is a waste of energy. Should he constantly whine..nah...but others around the nba do it all the time. Breathe on LeBron...whisper to Doncic and watch the theatrics. I get it...Trae is not some of yalls cup of tea, but some of the digs at him are stupid.

Yall act like Trae don't get beat up too. Works both ways. The problem with that is that Trae bytches incessantly about every call and the refs probably hate him as much as his haters do. Brat? Maybe..but some of it is warranted no matter how much people detest it.

Eh..it's not bad if you like reading the same book over and over. The conclusion will still be the same although you can make up a mystery ending.

And yet Trae is the poster child for the terrible vision this organization has demonstrated time and time again? Take Trae out of the equation and you still have an unmitigated disaster of a roster. "Dre"...Lmao. Some people can't stop believing. Clint - great center a decade and a half ago What's left? Bogi..sniper...but a walking turnstile. Bey, AJ (I kicked a puppy and remain in the doghouse). The bench....gumbo. Mix em up and it's the same shyt. Atlanta teams are always a day late and a dollar short. Holding on to average talent and overpaying talent to stay. It's hamster on a treadmill time for the Hawks.

Not really but it's true. JJ is playing like he should be...considering his progression. I hate what's going on with AJ but that's a byproduct of something Quinn doesn't like. I'm guessing defense or practice habits. We can let the Nate thing go. He sucked..and this iteration of Hawk's roster construction sucks. It's a vicious stink cycle.

Official Game Thread: Pacers at Hawks -- IST Game #3

I would say my expectations were high, but if I'm being honest, I've never liked his play. That's a totally honest biased view. I just feel like measurables are great if you have that DOG. That DRIVE. I can't judge another man's mentality but I'm just not one to think that it's always the system...the coach...the injuries...or the pressure when it comes to Hunter. He's been a Hawk. I want him to be the best he can be obviously. It could be that with the flawed construction of this team, he's in over his head. But has that been the case his entire pro career? I don't believe so. I don't dislike him at all. Just wish he'd do something. -

Supes..I wish I knew. But if Trae is overrated for what some think he is, Hunter is severely overrated for what he maybe..coulda...should become at this point. And subtracting Hunter is not the loss I think it would be if a walking mummy were substituted for him. But seriously Supes. I haven't the answer. He SHOULD be more is all I'm saying. 4 years in...when is more....more? -

It WAS on rigid Nate! Additionally, the problem is staying status quo with a roster that has proven to be flawed. Over..and over...and over..... -

Hunter..hmmm. Not gonna get started. He'll pull a good game out of his arse here and there. For as much shyt as Trae gets, Hunter is a non dribbling turnover machine and it's 4 on 5 some days that he's on the floor. 3 on 5 if Trae is MIA. -

Is it me or did he look pissed at coming out at one point? Coach reached to dap him and Bogi barely acknowledged him. I know..nothing there.- 411 replies

Not buying this argument at all. If he were efficiently scoring 30 I'd love it. Who wouldn't? But it's more important that we get the Trae Young of now for TEAM success. These Trae takes get worse every year.- 411 replies

When you have to squint to critique how the Hawks are playing, you'll have that. It's also natural to get upset and talk about underwhelming play. That's not just a "fan" thing it's human nature. I know I certainly cry less when the Hawks play like they have been. Heck, I can't even go off about Hunter. I commend his aggressiveness.
