My list
1. Carmelo Anthony - gets so much praise for not doing anything
2. Allen Iverson - feels like his basketball rating gets raised because of his cultural impact, inefficient offensive player, not a playmaker, not good on defense doesn't get him in the conversations I hear him in
3. Steph Curry - see people putting him in top 10, top 15 all time lists, everyone else there is an elite 2 way player who have also won a lot of chips and have longevity. Steph ain't there.
4. Can't think of other historical players atm, so ill say SGA
5. Ja

How is this not the standard for every team??

Don't think he plays more than 10 min a game max, most likely will be in the g league and filling in for injuries this season.

Trading him to free up playing time for JJ is gonna pay off well for us I believe

Who in the hell wants Trae off Ball?
I need you to really go back and look at how that worked with DJ. Betcha we won't see a lot of Trae off ball. It doesn't make any sense. You have a league leading assist guy and now you want to try to convert him to Steph freakin Curry??? This is the Lunacy that trying to make Siakam brings. Let's think of other league leading assist guys playing off ball...
Did John Stockton play off ball?
Did Isiah Thomas play off ball?
Did Oscar Robertson play off ball?
Playing off ball is something that you do when your OG is more of a shooter than a passer. Trae is not an OG. He's as pure a PG as the league has ever had. He just happens to score a lot. He's a unicorn. Trae averaged 26.4 ppg this past season. Ask yourself, how many of his points were assisted? Let me help you... 21%. Most of those were him scoring on the break or in a catch and shoot deal. That means that 79% of his scores came from something he created. So I went searching... Haliburton 33%. Mitchell 34%. CP3 29%. And you want to put Trae off ball.....
NO.
I can think of 2 reasons for getting Trae off ball more
1. Saves him energy so he can try more on defense
2. Trae is one of the best shooters in the league when open, so if someone can dish him a quality look, it's a great play.
Our team had trouble setting up easy baskets last season, and if someone else can drive and kick to an open player, and that player happens to be a shooter like Trae, it's a great look.
Also, Trae can probably make some cool creative plays after getting the ball from someone else while a play is in motion, dude reads the game so well even if he's not the one initiating the action, he can be the reason it ends with another pass to an open guy.
Trae should be on ball most of the time, but when we got so many options for cooking, we should see what meals can get served.

That's a personal choice that doesn't affect anyone, talking about how if you enjoy beyonce makes you a fake Christian is judging other people and that's not ok in any way.

this 100%. There's no room for religious nutjobs in a functioning locker room.
He seems like a nice kid, but damn, if any of my coworkers were posting stuff like that or anything it would make the environment hella awkward.
Who wants to work alongside people you know are judging tf out of you in a negative way?
Last statement is just conjecture, but how often are people who are this vocal about their pretty out-there beliefs really going to let other people live their lives without being judgy?
If we gotta trade AJ to get Siakam, pull that trigger - we good on offense at this point even though I wanted to see mans blossom into another ATL star

JJ vs workouts against a chair in the off-season
Ik Obi isn't a star, but he's an aight player older and bigger than JJ lol
Also, Lonzo and Lamelo been practicing against chairs their whole lives and it got em to stardom in the NBA, don't be hating on the humble 4-legged trainer

Especially with no equal talent available to come back to us. We can always just let him expire or hold him until closer to the deadline.
I personally really like our lineup with Bey at the 4 and CC at the 5. Gives Clint the room to be a lob threat and rebounder. Covers for the deficiency of Bey/Hunter as rebounding wings and opens up the floor for DJ and Trae.
We don't HAVE to trade him, but he only has 2 years left on his deal and we want OO to start - makes sense on paper to trade him for a FRP to recoup some assets and let our young guy shine while CC still has good trade value

just shows he sees the floor well at all times. That's the kind of thing JC or Hunter could never give us
Honestly got so annoyed when I heard JC say he was practicing his playmaking all summer last year, like Im glad he was able to dish a few passes out to CC over the year, but his time could've been better spent elsewhere.
For playmaking like Jalen does, you gotta just have that vision and the ability to execute on it, and JC and Hunter just don't got the eyes or the passing ability to do it consistently enough to help our team in a significant way.
Fingers crossed Hunter gets traded for Pascal, or that Quin drills into his head about making an extra pass - the tunnel vision is insane from everyone not in our backcourt

Maybe the hang up is on Kobe and he'll be traded this week and we can celebrate having a true #2 on the team next to Trae this weekend

I’m pretty sure JC is better than Jalen RIGHT NOW
JC played way more minutes so he has better counting stats, but Jalen had good impact in the small time he had on the court, and if you compare him and JC per 100 possessions or per 36, Jalen is scoring as much/a little more on slightly worse efficiency but is way better on the playmaking end.
Jalen also clears in BPM and VORP
Jalen being a guy that can make good secondary plays off of Trae is gonna show up way more in Snyders system than JC's efficient post game is gonna help IMO.
I bet you we're happy we didn't trade Jalen away based on his on-court production by December, dude is poised to break out and is gonna eat playing under Snyder and next to Trae.

Hmmm, more rumblings happen that may come to fruition but aren't solid enough yet to be public?
It would be great if we could get Josh Green for Clint, but I feel like Dallas values him too much and would rather throw in a FRP
