  1. Am I the only one who sees Lively as a walking bust? Feels like a WCS player type type of situation where he's not as good on defense as we hope, and his offense never gets any better and then the dude is out of the league after his second cheap contract. If it's between Lively and trading the pick, I vote trade that bench - I've heard Carson Wallace may be dropping out of the lottery potentially, so maybe we can do the traditional Hawks thing of just drafting the best player who wasn't picked top X like projected and not have to think about it too hard. Though, it would be nice if the FO thought about it really hard and made the best decision they could with the information they have and it actually works out for us
  2. Sounds good Spud! I'm moving to SoCal this Thursday, so might have to be if you visit town lol. I'll be making trips up to the bay though once in a while, so maybe on one of those trips. Would love it if you could bless me with a good wing joint in this state. Wingstop cannot be the best we have
  3. Hot lemon pepper is the only answer tbh, though I haven't found any good ones outside of Georgia, so understandable if yall living in the dark
  4. I feel like Jokic is gonna sweep, or it'll go to 5 at best. Nuggets are better at the top and throughout the roster, and they aren't as mentally fragile as the Ltics. Nuggies are ready to win, they're locked in, and Caleb Martin/Gabe Vincent/Max Strus can't just keep going off..... right.........????????
  5. I hope Dejounte so he can actually defend the POA, otherwise I'm expecting some AJ/JJ propaganda to come out this summer.
  6. JB had 8 turnovers in a must win game, idk if his price is worth this weak play in high pressure moments.
  7. Feels like 15 + a vet like CC is an overpay for either of those guys, unless they've shown more potential than I'm thinking they have.
  8. They really just giving anyone max contracts lol, Maxey doesn't deserve that - Jordan Poole contract at best imo
  9. @sturtWho did you mention previously as our big frame bad ass that we should go after? I can't find it via search
  10. AJ + JJ feels rich, Brown is worth this price, but I hesitate to pay it. We are capped out and need young guys to fill out our roster and play important roles while they're cheap. What do we look like if this trade goes down? And how screwed are we if/when Brown/Murray don't resign and we're out a bunch of assets for the next 5-6 years? It's a trade where it makes sense to pull the trigger on today, but is definitely gonna sting very soon unless we somehow make another ECF or finals run. If JB came extended this might be alright. Celtics fans will think this is not enough, but AJ has star potential and JJ is growing into his own very nice player - how many 6'8 forwards can run in transition, playmake, and haunt on defense like him? Not too many, dude's a freakin menace. If we can replace AJ or JJ with Bruno or something, that would be great, otherwise this trade feels like ~C -> B- grade for each team.
  11. I don't understand why people think Murray and Brown is how we raise our ceiling to win a chip. Boston has been an objectively better team than us the entirety of Browns career, but somehow if we trade away our ceiling raiser who has almost won us a chip already, this is supposed to elevate us? I don't see it at all, it feels like the only path Hawks have to win a chip is to let Trae play his game and elevate the team as high as he can. Surround him with players that complement his game, trading him away to rebuild?retool?Roll the die? on a new team composition sounds wild to me. If Tatum/Brown/Smart can't do anything, I have 0 hopes for a Murray/Brown led team ever going deeper than the 2nd round, and that's IF we can even fill out the team and make it deeper. Still in the belief that ceiling raisers like Trae will lead you farther than floor raisers like Brown and Murray.
  12. Thought I read somewhere it was everyone, but if this is more up to date that's nice. Couldn't find anything about who is currently on staff outside of the hired guys.
  13. This dude never winning a ring is so cathartic, dirty players shouldn't be rewarded
  14. Ahhh, I thought he was closer to finishing it out. ~80ish mil for 2 years is way too much for sure - though if we could get him as an expiring next year and re-sign him for a vet min or 10-12 mil, i'd do it.
  15. Actually insane lol, who gives a shit about what they do in hockey? I don't believe in sports karma and that photo alone is enough to tell me Bogi is GUARANTEED to win an NBA title. Bookmark this post. Yeah, leaving that much money on the table isn't gonna happen - supermax to forcing a trade feelsl like the likely outcome. It's weird though how many Celtics fans think JB is better than Tatum and that they'd rather trade Jayson. Like sure, we will take 1 Jayson Tatum instead of Brown, not a problem. Ben Simmons was actually good asf, judging his whole career based off the last 2-3 years isn't a fair assessment. But now that his value is in the gutter, I'd love if the Hawks swung for Ben and have him come off the bench. Would be interesting to see him and JJ play off of each other.
  16. I like the one you put up Spud, mine would prolly be something like Trae / Brogdon Jaylen / Monk Mikal / Bey JJJ / Portis Jokic / OO
  17. We get frustrated at CC for missing easy bunnies, but this frustration is easy to reconcile when you look at Clints overall production for his pay. He hustles, plays defense, grabs boards, and never gives up on plays. The frustration form Ayton playing with no energy, not finishing plays, on top of paying him the max - I don't know if I can stomach that. Landry is big on character like he should be, and I don't think Ayton fits what we're trying to do.
  18. No, go to Statefarm arena for a Hawks game during the playoffs and then start talking. You won't understand the culture till you're there. Even during our ECF run, the highest we've gone in the playoffs ever, the fans are how they always are - I was there for every home game against the Sixers, and it just is what it is. Just accept it instead of bringing negativity and ice hockey experience to backup your logic. Yup, the arena is always a good time. People who don't go/haven't gone won't understand.
  19. I'm glad your experience going to playoff games 30 years ago is helping inform you of modern day statefarm arena logistics. It doesn't matter, it was a few minutes at the start of the half - there are so many other things to focus on so choosing this is just weird.
  20. Using the bathroom, stretching your legs, grabbing food - nah, no excuses. This is real life, not some imaginationland with humans without human needs/wants. The crowd was loud as hell and the team loved the atmosphere, but we still got shakes complaining my fg. Glad the city showed out, was annoying as hell hearing about how ATL would be taken over by C fans and how no one from ATL supports the Hawks. Even if we didn't win and took a few minutes to fill out the lower bowl after halftime, we got a ton of positives and things to look forward to - feels polar opposite to last year.
  21. We're playing extremely locked in and tough right now, Celtics collapse in the 4th, so if we can keep it up I like our chances
