  1. I have liked Steve so far. One of the few positives up to this point.
  2. Quote: He's not a star and he's supposed to be. Bottomline... He hasn't helped much at all... Just a poormans Steve Smith that can't shoot. With the dish I got, I'm unable to see any Hawk games. Thank god for that. Hoping for improvement next year. How did you end up with no Hawk games?
  3. New York is a friggin mess. As long as Isaiah is there, they are gonna stink.
  4. I like it from just an informational standpoint because it is interesting and can open good debate, however, I would like to see all of the roster's numbers year to year. I like the idea. Joe hasn't fallen off all that badly, and he has a LOT less to work with. I personally think that watching him is a joy. He works hard and smart on defense, and is adjusting to carrying the load. He keeps his head up (unlike a lot of the FA's we have brought in...SHAREEF), and works hard. We need a true PG in a bad way, and we need to make sure Al H has a contract year every year. He's been pretty solid so far this year. Slim needs some discipline, and J-smoove needs to tone his jump-shooting down and get to the boards (I saw him do it more against DAL). Chill needs more handle. Marvin has the tools, and will be a good player. I hope Knight has something up his sleeve. I hope he is dialing the Maloofs to try for Bibby...although that will probably never happen.
  5. Can't wait to read it after tonight's pending ass-whoopin'.
  6. 147-96 = 51 point loss!! OK, I see you had a typo in there.
  7. Great story! Glad to hear you all had a good time at the game. Next year maybe I can make it down. Hell, I go to one Falcons' game evry year, why not a Hawks' game? Glad to hear the ownership is so fan friendly. Go Hawks!
  8. Yeah...play two guys who aren't even available.

  10. Agreed. Almost as if he got some bad advice about getting his outside shot going...which I feel he has.

    Royal Ivey

If nothing else, that was a nice looking suit there.
  12. Get the dish. I did for Hawks and Falcons. I LOVE it.
  13. Great, but if he keeps up his attitude, you may have to change it real quick.
  14. Quote: yup. Miles' talent is nowhere near good enough to justify all the problems that go with him. Go ask Mo Cheeks what he thinks of Miles My point exactly. Kinda like the Terrell Owens debate...only FAR less talented.
  15. The deal will come out in our favor. It is a tad early to be assessing the outcome 3 games into the season.
  16. Yeah, after what Darius Miles has proven, I think the team made the right choice NOT getting him. Let's see what he averages over the whole season first. The guy is a maniac and has been on nothing but losing teams. Hell, even the CAV got rid of him. You have to be wary of players that are constantly traded like him.
  17. Quote: I'd still do the JJ trade though all over again. " That's foolish Really? Diaw for JJ? We stole on them.
  18. Quote: Y'know, I'm not a blind optimist and I'm not a doomsayer. It's easy to dog on a team that isn't winning and in turn pass that whole thing down to every single player. But I watch the NBA, not just the Hawks and not just the good teams. I've seen squads turn everything around with one player, one coach, a couple of moves... I've seen teams turn sh!t around at the allstar break with absolutely no changes. Joe Johnson = Alan Houston...lol Yeah. That's real accurate. It doesn't matter what a player (a rookie no less) sustains for the better half of a season...what matters is what he does during the 1st 3 games of the next. Damn 2nd round pick just lighting the basket up from all over the floor, a little guard just takin' to the rim (and against one of the league's better swatters)...oh, but to not credit for the GM... Wow. Whatever... This sh!t is comical to me. Sorry, I just don't see the gloom and doom. I see a f!ckload of talent waiting to mature and be groomed. I'm sticking by my guns. Not to say I told you so, but because I see something in these losses. We got some GOOD peices and no amount of shortsighted trolling can change that. My take as well. Thank you for being level-headed.
  19. Lue did not lose it, but Salim was firing hot and Woody took him out. I know he shot bad % for the game, but he needs t keep shooting. Plus Slim was making plays for everyone.
  20. JJ = 10 mil per year. Camby = 9 mil per year. The deal could have been worse, and PHO would have paid it as well. We have a young core with no free agents and we are still well below the cap. Let this team play together, make a trade, and get some FAs...rebuilding after Babcock is not easy.
  21. The only one I am the least bit worried about is Smoove. He seems to have become the personalization of what everyone thinks he could be...not a good thing. He is trying to go out there and make every play instead of letting things happen for him. He needs to lay off instead of rying to hit every shot. This team needs a leader in a big way. They are making progress...and I think Slim has ROY all over him.
  22. I'd rather see Nique or Mookie come in and coach. At least Mookie could teach our guards how to play point on both ends.
  23. All the negativity...for a second I thought I wandered onto the Falcons' Board by accident. One game and we're dumping guys already. Stop acting like this was a championship caliber team over the past decade. Give the team some time to gel with the new starters. Let's talk trades after 30 games at least. One thing I will say is that when JJ is open, he should shoot it, no question. He has a great stroke and should not hesitate. Looked like he was trying not to piss anyone off the other night. Would also like to see Slim get going.
  24. Remember the SATs? Stephen A Smith : Sports reporting as MTV : music
  25. No love for Randy Whitmann? Kevin Willis? Spud Webb? Steve Smith? MOOKIE BLAYLOCK?? Actually, the list is fine for one player per decade, but I would really put Mookie over Deke. And Mook was head and shoulders better than Reef. Snoop Graham is going to read this and be pretty PO'ed. Well him and Morlon Wiley.
