After Swift's 4TH SEASON he was a restricted free agent. At that time he chose to sign a 1 year deal, making him unrestricted after the 5th season.

Rodmonovich did the same thing this year. He chose a 1 year deal rather than sign an extension. next year he will be unrestricted.

If he signs a 1 year deal, then he will be unrestricted after the season, his 5th year.

It is unusual to see somebody disprove their own argument, but you managed to do it.
