Did anyone notice

Marvins block on Welsh? He was going in for an uncontested dunk and Marvin totally punk'd him. Whenever someone drives to the basket and Marvin is in the area he will either contest the shot or give a hard foul.

If Welsh was driving to the basket and Al was underneath instead of Marvin, what do you think would have happened?

That was the play of the game for the Hawks I think ex. There wasn't many highlights other than Smoove's over the shoulder dunk and that Marvin block. Marvin is fine on D and we could get more out of him on offense if they were playing team basketball.

yeah that block was amazing, and so was Marvin's dunk. I think it was his first dunk that was really on someone.

Also, Gadzuric's dunk right on Smoove's noggin was the first time I ever saw anyone dunk right on Smith.

Smoove doesn't have much help inside and to see Marvin give the effort he did on that dunk attempt was somewhat pleasing. I think Gadz snook Smoove a little bit on that one, but the Hawk will get better as their interior D does. Unfortunately that means waiting until next season. I love Al's offensive game, skills, and desire to lead, but he just doesn't have what would make this team better.

If we could move him + Delk (so he can play somewhere) for a proven PG that can get us in a uptempo style and still maintain control in the 1/2court, it's well worth it. Because that more than anything, is what we need right now. We can't look to the draft for a rookie PG to come out and lead us to the playoffs in 1 or 2 years.

Ya it was a nasty block Smith had a great 1st quarter then had a bad 2nd half. I do like the way hes being aggressive on offense. In the past 2 games he has 11 rebounds and 10 Rebounds I think hes capable of this everynight No doubt about it.
