Read in a couple places that his contract issues have been resolved. As far as what he brings to the game: "already one of the best defensive players in Europe. Smart and experienced with an NBA ready frame. A dangerous weapon in the paint, plays with his back to the basket."

He has many of the qualities that the Hawks need . . . . will be interesting to see if he gets an agent and shows for workouts. If the Hawks tank the lottery and get a low pick, he could be a viable option for us. Or if the trade down to get a couple picks he could be a choice for a big man.

Splitter has been to the NBA combine before and apparently bombed. Plus is standing reach is only 1.5" more than Marvin and he weighed only 233 lbs, not exactly what you want from a center.

From what I have read I would take Bargnani over Splitter.

Yeah really, he looks like the player in the draft (maybe Noah?) who fits our actual needs the best. But his buyout is crazy and so right now people don't talk about him much. If that got taken care of, he could shoot right back into the top 5
