Guest
1)first and Seattle was off last night. They usally move the ball crisp and get a balanced effort and this was how I thought we would be beaten. 2)Lon force Gary to shoot first and pass second and while Gary had 34 points his 8 assist were below his average AND he didn't get the team involved last night. 3)Caught Seattle at the right place at the right time. 4)Shareef/Big Hog and JT were all playing well. 5)"Hendu can do" steped up! swolehawk2
We won because we went to the post first...inside out ...this is why we get open looks and what we should do all the time...Dog hit some wide open Threes...and JTs Dagger 3 late in the game came from Reef out of a double team. Guest
That's not totally it.Limiting Payton to being a scorer and not allowing him to find open 3pt shooters(2-11) was a big key.
Admin chillzatl Posted November 27, 2002 Admin Report Share Posted November 27, 2002 we played good ball, period. We did it without Theo also, and on the defensive end that's big. Shareef and Grob were amazing. For the most part, Grob was used the way he should be used. Coming off screens, taking shots in motion. If we would use him like that nightly, we would be hard to beat. Shareef was great down the stretch (for someone who supposedly ). He scored 11 in the first and had only scored 2 more going into the 4th. Hendu was outstanding. He's really back! It's hard to imagine being glad that we have him. But I am! He's the hendu that made everyone forget about laettner a few years ago. Tons of energy, always seems to come up with a big offensive rebound or stop. His scoring isn't great usually, but he should be a contender for 6th man. swolehawk2
Yeah I would agree...I was speaking offensively. Offensively.... 1st option should be Reef in the post 2nd Run dog off screens 3rd JT creating...what happened to that little foul line jumper he would always bury?
