Hawksfreak
By the looks of the 1st half it looked like we would have won this game. The 3rd quarter showed how good the Hornets were. JT a great friend of mine had 4 TOs in a row which turned the momentum quickly to the Hornets. 37-13 they out scored us in the 3rd. Without this 3rd quarter we had a huge chance of winning but it goes to show that a team that has been together for a while knows their roles better especially on defence. I though we did take care of the ball a lot better only in that 3rd is where we messed up. That one quarter killed us. We look to shake it off vs the Heat tommarrow. Go Hawks! O yea did you guys see that dunk Darvin Ham had at the end of the game? That was tighttt! He had a lot of those scoring 12 points. JT did have a good game 17 points and 9 assists. Reef chipped in with 15, 13 of 15 inthe first half. P.J. Brown played great defense. Hendu had 7 rebounds and Dog' had 15 also. Our bench did good last night I think as I said earlier Ham had 12, E-mail had a great night in my opinion. Glover had 12 with his nice slashing game. E-mail missed his first free throw. I though he was gonna be 100% this year! LOL!
Gray Mule
Third quarter -- Everything looking good. Then, the Hawks were assaulted, manhandled, run over and left for dead. How can you attact a P.G. physically the way J.T. was and never commit a foul? How ever it was done, Hawks need to learn how to do it because it sure worked last night against us. Everything they did worked to perfection. Whatever Hawks did was doomed to complete failure. If we got off a shot, it was a miss and we got no rebound. Any shot that they took, regardless of where it was taken from, hit only the bottom of the net as it went thru. Any pass Hawks attempted was caught but not by us. They played as if Hawks weren't even on the floor, taking the ball at will and never missing a shot. How can this thing be? I know that they are a very good team, but nobody is THAT good! Physically, we were abused, run over and all this without commiting a foul. Except for this one stretch of perfection, it was a good game. Like a prize fighter, we came out of this time frame, asking the people in our corner, what happened? The attact was so swift, so deadly that Hawks didn't even see the ambush coming. We live and learn and come back to fight another day. This was a harsh lesson.
