Curious what you gusy think are Shockley's chances of making the Falcons. Mora has said some good things about him, but it is still early. He may be on the practice squad.

Shockley will most likely make the team, IMO. He is very athletic, and he has local appeal. There will be a spot for him. He actually has shown something as a passer, so I don't see why he wouldn't be our 3rd string QB. I really don't see Bryan Randall showing enough to beat him out. He'll have to have a very solid preseason to win the spot.

He'll make the team and Randall is gonna be on the practice squad for another year until we trade Schaub next off-season and Shockley will be the #2 QB and Randell will be the 3rd

From what I read online, a lot of the coaches rave about his poise in the huddle. Talking about a rookie qb who's only started one year in college, that's some pretty serious praise. But everything I ever read from the UGA coaches reiterates what Falcons coaches are saying. With that said, I think Shockley will earn the 3rd qb spot by the end of training camp at the latest, barring injury.

It's going to be exciting to see him play Friday. Apparently he may get a good many minutes. We'll see.
