jezmund
There is no way we are going to give him some huge contract after the end of the season. I love his clutch ability and outside shooting, but I, especially at the 2, think he hurts us more than helps us.
Premium Member Diesel Posted December 29, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 29, 2002 He can't defend the 2. That's been the problem this whole time. Unless we get a young penny hardaway to come play for us, JT will have to become a 1 or be traded to a team that can use him like Bibby.
KB21
Finding the perfect compliment to Terry in the backcourt may never happen. It's going to be difficult, because you have to find someone with size AND ball handling/passing skills. There just aren't very many of those types of players out there. The team that fits Jason Terry the best is the Seattle Supersonics. They are getting quality play from Brent Barry at the 2, but I think Terry could make them a more dangerous team in the playoffs. Gary Payton is the prototype compliment to Jason Terry. The player I'd rather have from Seattle is Desmond Mason though. Very good defender, good slasher. Barry would add some athleticism and shooting ability to the line up as well. I think any deal with Seattle would have to be worked to bring Kenny Anderson to Atlanta in the deal as well though. I don't know if the Hawks can make a playoff run with a rookie PG (Dickau), but a guy like Anderson could help the team get on a playoff run and allow Dickau to work his apprenticeship under him. jezmund
Maybe he should get about the same size contract as Bobby Jackson did in SAC and be a 6th man?
