Miami trades: PG Travis Best (9.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.7 apg in 27.3 minutes) PF Brian Grant (10.1 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 33.1 minutes) Miami receives: PG Jason Terry (16.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 7.5 apg in 32 games) PG DerMarr Johnson (16.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 7.5 apg in 32 games) PF Alan Henderson (5.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.5 apg in 32 games) Change in team outlook: +2.1 ppg, -3.9 rpg, and +2.9 apg. Portland trades: PG Jeff McInnis (4.6 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.1 apg in 16.2 minutes) SG Derek Anderson (14.3 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 4.8 apg in 34.1 minutes) PF Dale Davis (7.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.4 apg in 28.4 minutes) Portland receives: PG Travis Best (9.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.7 apg in 29 games) PF Brian Grant (10.1 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 32 games) Change in team outlook: -6.1 ppg, +1.7 rpg, and -3.2 apg. I'm thinking the deal would be something like this. Here's why. We could trade JT and get back Best and Grant. I don't like Grant that much, but I do respect his numbers. He's a double double and he could play C. We could almost use Theo as a reserve if we had Grant becuase Grant would help our rebounding. However, I think that Portland would like Grant for that reason too. So three way. Atlanta would need a Big Man and a PG. McInnis and Davis fill those roles. On top of that, we also get Anderson.... Miami gets more cap freedom. No need to resign DJ. They can resign JT for cheap if he delivers. OR JT could be used as SNT bait. Portland gets a quality C to play in front of Arvydas... And a crowd fav. We get a real PG and a sturdy BU C. Actually, I don't think DD would be happy as a BU?
