Gray Mule
What ever happened at half time, the Hawks need to have more of it on hand all the rest of the season! Some of the things we might expect after this game as we look at what happened. Say what you will about these players that come up from the Development League, they come to play! We now have another one in Benjamin. He stold the show last night, along with the heart of some Hawks fans. What an effort! And, he just got here. If he keeps this up, he has found a home. Glover started and showed why he is here. He played like he belonged on the floor with the starters. Expect a lot more playing from here all out. Could it be? Glover and Nazr as starters with Newble and Theo coming in off the bench? Nazr gives the Hawks a big man under the goal on both ends, and his scoring isn't bad either. {Makes Theo more expendable, if Hawks want to trade, too.} Last night, the effort was there as it has not been for quiet some time. Sure, this was a loss but it was a loss that we can feel good about, not like the one against the Bulls -- Don't remind me of that one. Hawks really needed a win. More than that, they needed an attitude adjustment. They didn't get the victory but they sure had a different attitude. Playing like they did after the half last night, this team could and, I believe, would be a playoff contender right now. Is it too late? Yogi Berra said it best: "It ain't over 'till it's over." But, it's a long, hard fight from where we find ourselves right now. from where we find ourself now.
Jester
Some people dismiss Nazr, but he was our C for the 2 seasons Theo was out and we liked him a lot. His Dis questionable, but he's good enough to be C on just baout any team, that is , unless you want your C to be as effective as Duncan, Shaq and Co. where just about any other player is secondary on the scoring end. Nazr was hurt and he finally is gaining some of the mobility he had and his shots are going in, sometimes with authority. He's no scrub. Glover, well, besides JT, he's my man! He used to throw some good 3 pt. in college and he was supposed to be the Hawks' 3 pt. threat. If he stays healthy and ocntinues to improve, he may start for this or another team some day. I personally like someone like a Jalen Rose as a starter with someone like DG (glob) or Ira coming off the bench. DJ wa supposed t be our man at the 2, if not him, we need ourselves a Rose type of player who can bring it! JT could be that player. He has the talent (And the darn bad passes and turnovers - he may want to talk the wife into leting him bring the baskeball into the bed with them; that is the only thing he hasn't tried). PEACE.
