Premium Member Diesel Posted February 3, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 3, 2003 OF the NBADL talent that we have in Atlanta and have had. WHO should go and who should be left. IF Babs have to eat contracts... Which one(s) should he eat?

Premium Member Diesel Posted February 3, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted February 3, 2003 With >10% of Hawksquawk speaking.. People have made it clear that the order of leaving should be: 1. Ham 2. Ira 3. Wilks. Wilks get the votes of the Dickau faithful. Ira get the votes of the Dion faithful. Ham just get votes. However, could it be said that Ty Corbin Jr. is really been playing hurt and his game could improve like Dickau's did coming off injury? Or is it like I said... TCJ really doesn't fit our needs. The real quesition now becomes... Ira vs. Ham. Does ham bring enough being that he can play both Forward positions? Does Ira bring enough being that he can play Perimeter defense. Or is it that Ira is only good for backing up Big Dog... IN which case we might need to look to go small sometimes and play Dion instead? Possible Lineups with Big Dog out: JT/Benjamin/Glover/SAR/Theo & JT/Glover/Ira/SAR/Theo & JT/Glover/Ham/SAR/Theo Possible Depth charts... Theo/Nazr SAR/Hendu/Ham BIg Dog/CC Glover/Benjamin JT/DD Or Theo/Nazr SAR/Hendu Big Dog/Ira/CC Glover/Benjamin JT/DD Who stays... Ira or Ham? Or do we toss both and look for a suitable PF/SF in the NBADL?

Traceman
Even if we were to cut Ira or Ham, we would still have to pay them and they would count against the cap. The Hawks can put CC on IR for the rest of the season if they want the roster space because he really is injured. Babs could put him on IR with a clear conscience just as he did with Glover as a rookie. I think there is a chance we will sign Benjamin or Wilks for the rest of the season after the trade deadline but letting Ham or Ira go will never happen.
