We need a veteran leader

We need a veteran player who can come in and give some direction on the court. There are a number of players that come ot Mind. Scottie Pippen would be good but we have BIg Dog at the small Forward spot. Steve Smith can provide leadership but can't offer much as far as playing skills on the court. The best choice would be Gary Payton. We need to do whatever it takes to get GP. Don't worry about his age, as Danny Inge stated Payton is in good enought shape to play another 3 to 4years. It doesn't matter if go back to a rebuilding mode, without leadership it will not work no matter what player we get. What would it take to get GP. We would probably have to work out a 3 way deal in order to get him because we don't have a caliber pg to send them in return.
