OSU is so much better without ODEN

Keep his sorry ayss on the bench and they will prolly win the title. He is terrible, FOULS LIKE A GOON and slows them down. I cant belive he will be picked 1st in the draft but I hope to God we get pick 2 so we get a real player like Durant. Bball is obviously not Odens game. Hello Eric Montross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else notice how much better OSU plays once Oden gets nailed to the bench in this tourney?

You are crazy. Their defense is sooooo much better with Oden in the game. That leads to easierl baskets on the other end. He is still just a baby. He will learn how to play in such a manner as to stay out of foul trouble. As I posted before, God help any GM who passes on Oden.

Dude, you shouldn't be allowed to post here anymore if you think G. Oden is terrible. He doesn't need to score a point and he is the most dominant defensive player in the country. It's not all about points. You're stupid.

Yeah but Duncun and Shaq were big time players in college. Odens team plays much better without him on the court. You have to be an idiot not to realize that. I thought it was hilarious when Nance asked Packard if Oden was one of the greats and Packard said "no". Then Nance said do you think he will be one of the greats thinking Packard would say yes. Instead Packard said " no, no I dont". lmfao at that. Even blow evrybody up Billy Packard doesnt think Odens that good.

They { OSU } go on a big run everytime he sits, EVERYTIME. Maybe Oden is just having a bad tourney. Then again maybe its cause he's not playing sorry ayss big ten teams. lol PICK DURANT BILLY K, PICK DURANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we need someone to do what Oden would do for us just trade Este to G.S. for Odono Foyle. thumb3d.gif

And Oden isn't a big time player. I've been hearing about him for 3 years. The question is would they be better in the long run. Sure they can make adjustments in a game without Oden but their success is probably due to the fact that when Oden goes out their opponents have to adjust. Every coach game plans Ohio State with Oden in mind. Having a player like Oden every team has to seriously account for doesn't make you a worse team.

It's like when we went on that 4 game win streak after Joe went down. After teams game planned how to play us without Joe we started to lose again.

Oden will be fine. College is a game this is dominated by perimeter oriented players. In the NBA he'll matter. Shaq and Duncan didin't win squat in college. They've got 6 nba titles between them.

How does Oden's 1st Team All-American status stack up with Shaq and Duncan's freshman years? Pretty well, I'd say.

This is 2007 people. A players freshman year IS their senior year NOW!!!!

Look at the +/- for when Oden is on and off the floor for Ohio State. Your assertion that OSU is better with him off the floor is utterly indefensible. Where do you come up with that? The numbers show a dramatic difference when Oden is in the game - that Ohio State is dramatically better with him in the game than on the bench.

Yeah that's what I posted above, ESPN showed how big his impact was before the game started. For the last 3 games BEFORE the championship, OSU was like +44 with him in the game, and -25 with him out.

After the championship game, that could have only increased.
