archie44
David Aldridge was just on ESPN saying the Hawks were talking with a lot of teams. One deal they had proposed was sending SAR to Houston for Eddie Griffin. Obviously, others would be involved in the deal to even out salaries. Houston turned the deal down. Griffin had an apathetic workout when he came here a few years ago, but he sure does have potential!
Premium Member mrhonline Posted February 19, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 19, 2003 Since when did Diesel get a job for the Hawks? I think that's a stupid move on the part of the Rockets, it's not like SAR is old or anything...and since Yao is playing so well, they could still make the playoffs. ATLien_
So we get an unproven Griffin only for a proven SAR? Doesn't make much sense to me. Seems like we would need to get more than that out of it. Maybe Griffin and Moochie Norris and a pick?
KB21
For that deal to happen, it would have to include Griffin, Norris, as well as Kelvin Cato for the salaries to even out.
Admin
Unless they plan on moving Reef back to SF. They already have a good, but not great, Mo Taylor playing PF for them and he makes a ton of money. They also spent the 15th pick and are pretty high on Bostjan Nachbar as a SF. I dont really see the incentive, unless they were able to move Mo in another deal. If the deal was Griff, Mooch, and Cato for Reef.......I would consider it, but I dont think I would do it. Guest
SAR doesn't have alot of trade value.
