They got Jefferson, Allen, Pierce all on the same team, plus two GREAT values for their picks in Pruitt and Davis...They are headed in the right direction, IMO.

If a PG emerges, they have a chance to be pretty good.

I agree. No doubt that this was a short term fix for ainge to possibly save his job, but this should definitely be a playoff team for the next two years.

If (and I know that this is a bit of a big if) Allen can play 75 games there is not a better scoring duo in the East, and Jefferson is becoming a star.

I have to disagree. I have no clue who their backup PG or center is, they have no defense at all, an awful coach whose proved nothing, and a GM down in the dumper.

Well they did have T-Mac, and they were in the East. I am sure he did some coaching, but I wouldn't say he was THE Reason that those teams made it to the postseason.

He did amazing things with the Magic before T-Mac joined the team. Guys like Ben Wallace before Ben was anything in the league, Darrell Armstrong and a bunch of cast-offs scrapped their way to a bunch of wins.

Since Hill and T-Mac came to Orlando, Rivers hasn't looked nearly as good anywhere he has been. But he was great in his early years for the Magic.
