Celtics release Batista

For those of you wondering if it was wrong for us to let him go. He did not make the Celtics roster. I think his game is more tailored to international competition then the NBA.

You also have to think about his struggles with the langauge exchange with teammates coming into play. Because he has the talent/ strength to be a revounding beast and he also has potential to develop low post moves.

I think he could become a real solid backup PF/C on any team.

according to a post on realgm (certainly not verified):

"According to Hawks PR staff, he (Batista) signed a two year deal with the Israel team this afternoon for $1 million, plus bonuses..."

I hope it's accurate - not bad money - gotta make it while you can, wherever you can.

P.S. - I got to spend a little time in Israel in the navy...it's not a bad place at all. The beach near Tel Aviv is really good. Hotties galore.
