"The ex-fiancee of NBA star Glenn Robinson is suing the Atlanta Hawks forward.

A Cook County jury found Robinson guilty in May of domestic battery and assault for an altercation he had with Jonta French in her Chicago Heights home.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Cook County Circuit Court, alleges the attack caused her emotional distress.

In 2002, when he was playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, Robinson pushed and threatened French, demanding to know where she put a handgun he had left in her home, prosecutors said."
