MJ & the Bucks (This could mess up the GS deal!!!)

I just heard that Michael Jordan has apparently reached an agreement to purchase the Milwaukee Bucks, and part of the deal states that Jordan's group gets to make the Bucks' picks in tonight's draft. This was on ESPNEWS NBA Insider w/ Chad Ford, and he says that Jordan's want in a player is apparently different than that of what the former Bucks ownership would have taken in the draft. This deal is in principle, but Ford said it would take effect tonight before the draft.

This means that the Bucks most likely will take someone other than their projected pick, Kirk Hinrich. This could mess up the deal with GS, if Jordan wants to take Gaines with the 8 pick, which is a possibility.

Now David Aldridge and Andy Katz are reporting that the dealis not going as fast as originally assumed, and that the current ownership group will make the picks tonight. So, it looks like the possible deal with GS is still intact. At least we're having some luck tonight.

wouldn't they take Wade over Gaines if available though?

Possibly, but I'm glad that we don't have to worry about it now.
