Anybody heard if the Hawks will sign any FAs

Sekou said that they would probably wait until after the deadline to sign a big. So far nothing. What is the deal???

i can't understand why we havent filled out the roster either....that leaves me to have one conclusion- they're waiting for someone to come off of a waiver....possibly Lorenzen?

My understanding is that the team is only interested in signing free agents who are younder then 24 years of age so as to insure that the team remains one of the youngest teams in the NBA for the foreseeable future. The rationale is that it gives BK and Woody a ready-made excuse for not winning games. From one perspective, this is the smartest thing BK and Woody have done as it has given both remarkable job security.

I'm not a hughe fan of Woody or BK, but I've never heard them complain about being the youngest team. They expect their players to deliver no matter what their age. Heck, they start a rookie, Horford, because they know that he can produce. You produce, you get to play.

The Gearons constantly point out the youth of the team in interviews. They use it as an excuse for Woody's record. Thus, Woody and BK may not directly say it in interviews, but the ownership shovels the youth thing to us fans in every interview. Youth was a choice of the organization, therefore they can't use it as an excuse IMO. Woodson is just a bad coach, no other way to cut it.
