He's going to be coaching the summer league team. Does anyone think this could be his interview for the Hawks coaching spot?

Last year, Eric Mussleman lead the Hawks to the Shaw Championship during the summer league and a 6-0 mark, I believe. That seemingly provided a spring board for him to get the Warriors head coaching job.

What kind of style will English employ? He played for Doug Moe in Denver, and Moe was known for his up tempo style of game. He got English, Vandeweigh, and David Thompson out and running, and they were some of the highest scoring teams of the 1980s. In fact, Alex English is the All Time Leading scorer for the 1980s decade.

How much respect would a coaching staff that has Alex English and Dominique Wilkins on the bench command? That's two of the greatest players of all time.

a shot at the job - at least for a season. Stotts doesn't appear willing to wait around forever due to the uncertainty of the situation. If he does go take another job and the McDavid thing falls through (or even gets done late) what other options will the Hawks really have. Carlisle or Fratello are unlikely to come here with the ownership question still iunanswered. English make get a shot by default.
