KB21
Who knows if this radio report on the deal being completed on Monday with Carlisle interviewing on Tuesday is true or not. However, Larry Bird recently became Indiana's Team President, and there is a lot of talk that he's ready to dump Isiah to bring in Carlisle. There's also the New Jersey thing that won't go away. David McDavid wants to make a splash with his first hire, IMO. Rick Carlisle would certainly spark a lot of interest. However, one that would spark even more, IMO, because he has a history with the team is Mike Fratello. Hiring him may get the team to reconnect with a portion of the fans that were lost in the Dominique trade. A wildcard candidate will be Rolondo Blackmon. He's currently an assistant to Don Nelson in Dallas. Nelson and McDavid have a very good relationship, and had Nelson not signed that contract extension with Dallas, I'm betting McDavid would have hired him. McDavid will listen to Nelson though, and if Nelson gives a good recommendation of Blackmon, McDavid may hire him.
jeddelong
Intrestingly, the AJC today said that we never has interst in Dunleavy and Dunleavy had no intrest in the Hawks, intresting!
Traceman
The Hawks will more than likely go out and hire a GM before they wlll go after a coach. In addition, if those rumors were true, they would be in print SOMEWHERE by now and that is simply not the case. Note that the author never said what radio station or program he heard the rumor on. Total BS.
