Other than JJ, who have we gotten: Speedy, Pig Miller, Lue, and a bunch of leftovers. Surely I'm missing someone, but I bet dolloars to donuts that there are a bunch more bad ones than good ones . . . . . at least in recent history.

Deke's the only one I can remember.

How about Moses Malone, was he a FA?

Yes sir, Moses was a FA when the Hawks brought him in 1988. However, Deke and Moses came here as 'final piece' guys; both teams came off of 2nd round playoff runs, the '88 team taking the Celts to....never mind, too painful to recall.

Here's the difference, though; since Mutombo was signed from Denver in 1995, they've managed to bring in a broken down Laphonso Ellis in 1998, do a SNT for JJ in 2005, and....AND....

As suspected, our FA history hasn't exactly been stellar over the years. That's why it was sooooooo important to maximize the high lottery picks they've had into guys who can PLAY (let me rephrase that; play BETTER). I really don't think they've done that (a conversation for another time...).
