Hudson Out For Season

Per AJC : MRI on Hudon's elbow revealed ligament damage in his pitching elbow that will require surgery. With Chipper already on the DL this removes any doubt that the season is in the tank and Tex will be traded.

I'm hoping for Youkalis and pictching prospect from Boston or Loney and a pitching prospect from LA.

Braves should have major money this off season.

1. Tex's $12 mill deal will be traded for much cheaper salary (Youkalis makes $3 mill and Loney only makes $412 K).

2. Hampton's $15 mill is off the books

3. Glavine's $8 mill is off the books and may retire

That is about $25 mill in salary right there to make some major moves to bring in some young pitching to go with Jurrienes and Reyes. Then get a REAL Major League starter quality LF and we should be OK with Youkalis or Loney at 1B (both hit .300 and play exceptional defense).

That's all you can do in situations like this...is just laugh. Who would've figured that Mike Hampton would be healthy and Smoltz, Hudson, and Glavine wouldn't? What a freakin' season.

Damn Damn Damn! Anyone think Chipper canstay healthy enough to qualify for the batting title? Since he fell short last year, that seems to bet he only thing to notice now.
