Good for him. The NBA should at least make all players take courses on personal finance. 60% of them are broke 5 years after they retire (allegedly).

It's tough... The vast majority of people in U.S. are totally clueless about how to handle their finances and most of them live in debt because of it

Now consider that these athletes are thrown directly from their late Teens into a celebrity lifestyle and are given millions... Understandable that so many of them would find themselves in trouble with money at some point in their lives.

There definitely should be some finance classes implemented in every public school... one of the most useful things to be knowledgeable about, no matter what you do in life.
