Atlsportfanz
Beat me to it. He didn't get the 17 million he wanted (crazy if he thought he would) but he gets a pretty hefty pay check based on very little time on the court. He may be the real deal. If he's not, he may eventually be the Lakers downfall.
Admin capstone21 Posted October 30, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted October 30, 2008 He has done nothing to deserve 14.5 million a year. Too much money
DrReality
Similar to Smoove's contract. Interesting. Are they equal in value?
crimedog
Similar to Smoove's contract. Interesting. Are they equal in value? Smith is $58m over 5 years and Bynum is the same value over 4. He's making about $3m more per year than Smith is if you average it out. The threat of someone offering HUGE long-term money next season must have scared them into paying up. Also, I think the fourth year is a team option but I'm not 100% on that.
