terrellgroup
What would it take to get Monta Ellis in a Hawk's uniform. We need him, exactly him, for many reasons: 1st, his offense, 2nd, Teague and Ellis have similar game, Teague can learn alot from him, 3rd, he can play def. on the faster guards. Trade Marvin, 1st round and Evans. Just get Monta. Look at this starting 5 Ellis Crawford JJ Smith Horford or Ellis JJ Smith Horford ZaZa whatever, just get the man on the team, he doesn't want to play for the Warriors. ATLNY7
That would be a steal for the hawks.
MaceCase
Just for reference......The reason we were able to get Crawford for literally peanuts was because GS determined that a Crawford/Ellis backcourt absolutely, positively could not coexist together and they were and still are right. MaceCase
how do you know they are right? Check their W-L record for one and if that doesn't do it for you try going with the conventional wisdom that two ball dominant, low efficiency, non defense playing (although Monta has improved) small 2 guards can't really coexist in a backcourt together. Check that, they can't coexist in a successful backcourt together. If Jamal was of any worth to GS we would not have gotten him for a mere salary dump. I could not agree more Ellis, Joe and Crawford would be a terrible fit together. It would totally destroy the chemistry here. Also, Ellis is an undersized shooting guard and a bad defensive one at that. I think he is kind of overrated anyway.
