Last night was one of the top performances of the year.

LA didn't play very inspirational defense, but that shouldn't take away from the effort last night. Pretty much everyone contributed to the effort and they moved the ball around last night on a consistent basis when that's been a huge issue all season. Almost every game they have a huge drought and forget to pass the ball and they didn't let that happen. They out hustled LA, they outplayed them man to man, and they play the type of defense they should be playing every night. Joe's defense was outstanding as was everyone else with maybe the exception of Mike and Jamal. Kobe had his hot period, but that wasn't because of defense. A hand was in his face most of the time and they played him a lot like they have played Wade in the past and it worked.

If the bench plays like they did last night, this team can beat anyone in the east with maybe Orlando being the exception. Yes, they could even beat the Cavs if the bench plays like it did last night. The Hawks have proven that can manage despite sometimes big games from the other teams star player and you know that LJ will get his.... But they don't have that 20/10 guy like Howard, so they're beatable. Simply put, last night was what the team would be if ZaZa and Mo brought it every night.

Great effort and one of the best wins of the year. They manned up and played a great game. They didn't falter or just count on the other team having a terrible game. Which was mostly the case in the Orlando game.

I agree but I feel we can beat anybody in the league if we play like that more often including orlando! That effort was just too outstanding they really showed how good they can be when everybody is giving 100% effort for 48 minutes.

Howard is a different beast than Pau Gasol. The Hawks can;'t beat Orlando in a 7 game series. The facts are that Carter lights this team up nearly every time he faces them and of course Dwight.... The team can handle anyone else, but that combo is death for this team.

Wow, i feel like a just saw a black cat cross the road. Talk about a powerful hex.

Seriously though the Hawks have just beaten the Spurs (who they haven't beaten in years), the Magic (who have completely owned the Hawks lately), and the Lakers (defending champs with the 2nd best record in the league. Those are the type of confidence building wins you want going into the playoffs.

Bibby and Horford had their best months of the season. When those two guys are scoring it makes the Hawks very tough to stop.

This is what I get for saying this stupid s***.

Yeah waiting would have a been a good idea. As good as the hawks looked against the Lakers I can't remember the last time they've strung together 2 good consecutive performances against quality teams.
