My friend sent me this poem his younger brother wrote back in the '90s at the age of ten:

Dikembe Mutombo

is

such a cool guy

He can easily dunk the ball

And jump really high

At rebounds he is better

than anyone else in the NBA

He is my favorite basketball player

That plays the game today

Dikembe Mutombo is the

Guy I want to meet

He is the one guy in a game

No other man can beat

At 7’2" he is a guy that’s

really tall

He’s the best dunker in the

Game of basketball

If you watch him play

you’ll sit and stare

‘Cause Denver’s 55 is an

awesome player
