Steve Holman says dont sleep on Brad Miller joining the HAWKS Brad Miller stinks. He adds nothing at all to the team. Shaq isn't the great option, but he is better than Brad Miller. Then again, most are.

Plainview1981
Would rather him get minutes than ZZ. Maybe 2 million or so, but after that it's tough. He doesn't provide a real inside presence and is mainly a soft player. Him playing isn't that much different than throwing ZaZa out there. Additionally, if the idea is to get big men to throw at Howard Brad is going to make zero difference. Edited July 11, 2010 by Hotlanta1981

Brad Miller is too old for us but hes never been considered soft he will mix it up with anyone. Hes basically a flopping position defending bigman with a jumpshot
Plainview1981
obviously u didnt watch him play vs the celtcis!!!! if he's such a hot commodity how come nobody is knocking down his door to sign him? I don't see how he helps a team that needs a 7 footer that plays like a 7 footer. Brad Miller is too old for us but hes never been considered soft he will mix it up with anyone. JJFAN4LF
Doesn't intrigued me at all. The point of adding a big man this offseason is to add some beef to contain Dwight Howard a little bit. Brad Miller doesn't do that.

That's just it... he wants to shoot jumpers. what does play like a 7 ft mean ? Miller will mix it up underneath the basket but his game is primarily a midrange faceup jumpshooter and is actually a pretty good passer for a center. Since when did we put some type of hot commodity statute into play that we only want players that everyone else are chasing ? Are they the only ones that can help us ? Miller is a savvy dirty work veteran who is good for 20 mpg and he will deliver a hard foul .

Horford already does what Brad does. Brad Miller can't guard Howard.I don't see him making enough of a difference to give him 5 million dollars. He doesn't have that kind of value. Last of all, he only shot 43% last year so his jumper sure isn't money at this point.
99PROBL3MS
Brad Miller>Zaza, Jason Collins, Joe Smith, and Randolph Morris. 5M is too much for Miller when Zaza makes 4.75M? Too bad we can't find a salary dump for Zaza then..

When the going gets tough Miller shouldnt have the ball ? hes a 20 mpg backup center at this point No one can guard Howard straight up every team thats played Howard well has used a strong team defense philosophy and a rotation of tough bigs who arent afraid to throw there body on him and mix it up but his elbow jumpshot is still respected as thats his bread and butter shot but he also can hit a cutter and throw a lob off that high post . I dont even want Brad Miller but hes not a soft center as you first claimed and is quite different from Zaza.

The Bulls, Heat, Cavs and Spurs are all reported to have been in discussions with him. That's just it... he wants to shoot jumpers. If you are looking for something other than a stretch 5 that can play a little defense against other big slow 5's - then Brad Miller isn't for you. He's soft enough that he'd rather shoot jumpers than score inside like someone of his size should. This team is loaded with players that want to shoot jumpers. Yeah, he''ll probably get signed if they can't get anyone else, but I don't expect him to make an impact on the team because he really isn't that good. But if he can help the team so much why don't you want him? Edited July 11, 2010 by Hotlanta1981
mudderfudder77
He's soft enough that he'd rather shoot jumpers than score inside like someone of his size should. He doesn't play in the post because he doesn't have any post offense and isn't effective down there. He doesn't have nearly the footwork, or foot speed to make a move, and at this point his legs have no lift left in them. His game is and always has been as a stretch 5 who keeps his defender out of the paint. But if you think Brad Miller is soft - then you don't know Brad Miller. But he is redundant to Al Horford on the offensive end. Truthfully, no matter if Brad is tough or not he isn't good enough to do anything against Howard amd he's not going to keep people out of the paint. Absolutely correct - if that is what Atl is looking for, then they need to walk right on past Brad Miller and find someone else.

Does it really matter anyway after the events of the last few days? It all feels somewhat pointless anyway.
